Shipley Do-Nuts reviews
19I sat outside for 40 mins from 5am to 5: 40am they walked around without masks saw me several times and took orders through drive through but wouldn't unlock the door and serve me
I went there several times after work, and each time their glazed donuts are old and cold at 6: 30am in the morning! I believe they give out their donuts from the day before first before issuing out the freshly made ones. Never again. I'm done with this place
Update: I tried this location again today on July 27,2020 at 5: 15 AM, and guess what? Their donuts aren’t fresh! They offered me warmed up days old donuts, and had the audacity to try to convince me that they are fresh donuts. I’m totally done with them.
Donuts were great. However, the kolachee was disgusting. It tasted terrible and had some sort of sticky clear goo inside. Kind of looks like mucus. I had already taken off and was almost home, otherwise I'd had come back.
Order 4 sausage and cheese kolaches and all 4 had a surprise. Either shiplees employee does not listen or they were sorted incorrectly, either way this is unacceptable. Tried to call to save them this review but they did not even answer the phone. Boo to you shiplees!
This particular location hasn’t figured out that warm donuts are better tasting and get agitated if you ask them if their donuts are warm. It doesn’t matter what time you arrive either. Even at 5: 00 in the morning when they open they’ll tell you that they are fresh but are just cold. Yeah, that’s not my definition of fresh. I never have this problem on 336 in Conroe or at the 45/Kutkendahl location
Donuts are always delicious! So glad this location open! Always had them close in Houston but this probably made my year when it opened!
Best donuts around, my family always loves the bullseye donuts! Very good prices as well, much less expensive than other brands!
Don’t go @ 1: 00 I did know they closed at 2 pm. She had no coffee & I ask for cinnamon twist. When I got ready to eat it, it was glazed.
Their apple fritters are the best in town. Would have given 5 stars but the shop could have been cleaner.
Ordered doughnut holes, an apple fritter, and two mills. My apple fritter was burnt and tasted horrible. I asked for something different and told them it was burnt and inedible. Also requested they throw away the lastbfritter that was also burned (they where blackened theybwhere so burned. I only tasted mine because I thought maybe it was a new Doug). I then watched them sell that apple fritter to a customer. When i asked if they just sold a burned apple fritter to a customer they responded, “some people like it that way”. Absolutely unacceptable. As a business owner, i felt obligated to make this post. I will be contacting management. Things this small should be easy to solve.
Great tasting donuts as always, but never any warm or hot, fresh donuts. They close very early in the day I think around 1 or 2 pm. The service is pretty good bit often pretty slow.
Need more cashiers in the morning 1 to handle cars and 1 for walk in customers. Also both registers should be used when there ACTUALLY are 2 on shift. When 1 register is being used it completely defeats the purpose and slows down the process of speedy service. People are trying to get to work. As far as the donuts are concerned DELICIOUS Staff is very nice and the place is VERY CLEAN
Terrible customer service, I always ask if they have any fresh warm donuts and they always say, “that’s all we have”. The donuts are cold and taste old. The only time I’ve had great service is when I was served by “Jose”, all the rest of the ladies need to get training on good customer service. Prices are too high. You’re better off buying doughnuts at HEB, they’re probably fresher there than here.
Regular assortment, terrible coffee, mediocre service, and a complaint of undercooked doughy donuts
I love going right when they open and get the cinnamon rolls, and pretty much one of each of eveything
After Hurricane Harvey past through I decided to volunteer in a community near me.
I went to the manager at this location and was able to get a wonderful donation of donuts not once, but twice to feed to those in the community where many had lost their homes. I will always recommend a business who loves their community. Thumbs Up!
I'm rating Shipley Donuts on their 'doughnuts' and not their kolaches. I've read some reviews that indicate their doughnuts are not fresh. I've been going to the 1488 location for well over a month, and have never received anything but 'super fresh' doughnuts. Make sure you don't overlook the cinnamon rolls or the bear claws - they're great too! Kolaches: A different story. If you're looking for an authentic kolache, go somewhere else. Kolaches are lots of dough (not top notch) and little of the stuff in the middle (fruit or breakfast meat). Super friendly service, clean store, drive-thru, and great doughnuts will keep me coming back!
The worst donuts I have ever eaten. Their khloaches cost so much and then you get them and they are days old.
I never write reviews but I had to write a review for these donuts. This is the second time I go to this Shipley's and the donuts were not fresh. Those donuts were at least a day old. Will not return here.
