Shipley Do-Nuts Plano

It's NEVER a good sign when you go to a donut shop, on a weekend morning, and you see NO CUSTOMERS! I should have taken the hint and went elsewhere. But I didn't.

I went to the Plano location and was VERY disappointed. The donuts, including the pastries, were DRY to the point of tasting rather stale! It's as if all the donuts, which hadn't been sold the previous day, where left on display to be sold the next day! Yuck! Perhaps new management to blame? Either way I'll be looking for a new donut spot to frequent. It's not worth the gas or cash to eat a lousy tasting donut!

Kolaches were hot and fresh, but they have changed the sausage to what tastes like generic hot dogs. Donuts were good, not great. Still better than the mom and pop donut shops, but not worth the drive from Lavon anymore.

It was meh, the apple fritter was hard and crispy and pretty much no apple flavor, and the cinnamon roll was really like a coffee roll.

The only reason I'm giving them a 4 is because they run out of food before they close at 2pm.ie: Kolashes and particular filled donuts. Close earlier or make enough to last until close.

Besides that the food is always good.

This location had good staffing for a Saturday morning. I entered with another customer right behind me. We both were helped immediately as their were two registers open. I also observed a third employee manning the drive thru line. The selection seemed excellent for non-cake donuts. But a little less so for cake donuts. But the flavors were excellent. Keep up the good work!

Great service, good glazed donut, but the cinnamon roll I had was hard and I took one bite and trashed it. I'll definitely try em again because I'm a fan of Shipleys off Ferguson, but, my first trip to this one in Plano was not a great one.

Great little donut shop with full donut menu and kolaches and coffee and drinks too. We enjoyed using the indoor dining option but they also have a drive thru. Like the layout where you can see them busy in the kitchen making everything while enjoying food at the table. Has a bathroom too which is nice. The donuts and kolaches were all good. And the employees ringing us up was super friendly even though it was 5: 30am. Will be back.

Good service.kolaches were good but not the best I've had. Didn't have that sweet yeasty flavor I was hoping for. Doughnuts were very good.

I do lots of early morning business here. Fabulously Managed and Workers extremely kind and helpful. Helps me get ahead on the day, much appreciated.

This place is the best! The staff is friendly and accommodating. Their products are always hot and fresh The stores is very clean!

Their donuts are always fresh! Your greeted with a smile and hello once you walk into the door. Always clean with a pleasant atmosphere, one of the best donut spots in Plano! Keep up the good work

Very delicious and fresh. Mostly definitely come back for sure. They have many and plenty of variety of flavors toppings donuts for all sort of craving. Most definitely recommend the Sausage and cheese Jalapeño Kolache very good snack for morning and afternoon. The staffs were very friendly and welcoming, they just light up my day right from the start.

What exactly do you put in your glazed donut? It is outrageous. This is the only donut shop I will ever frequent when I come back to Texas!

Great everything here. I've tried most everything in the menu and recommend the sausage and cheese kolaches! Any donut you try here will be great, just remember, they are cake donuts and will sit in your stomach like a satisfying piece of rock they are very filling! Enjoy!

Awesome shipleys! Young lady at drive thru window was super sweet and gentlemen helping her had my donuts ready like pow! Good stuff!

My wife makes me stop here every time we drive by and she is in the car if they are open. She has to buy one of every cream filled donut they have, and she pretty much eats all of them in one day. I am not allowed to touch 'her' donuts. She says no one compares to Shipleys

Haven't eaten a devil's food donut in so long but was so disappointed didn't have but a drop of filling in it. Your going to get cheap don't skimp on the filling.

The only downside about my Shipley's visit this year is that I wish I had found it sooner! These are the best doughnuts in Texas y'all

I love shipley donuts! I grew up with these doughnuts but the one from my hometown was open 24/7. This one is only open early to a little into the afternoon. Make no mistake the product made here is fantastic, but the 5 stars would need to allow me to relive the late night doughnut runs from my college days.

Still go and support this establishment especially during these hard times!

Prices are great & everything tasted fresh! Coffee was hot and the place seemed nice and clean. Definitely will be back!
