Shirley Acres, Houston TX

Shirley Acres was AMAZING for our wedding in April! We can't say enough great things about this wonderful staff and event space! We used Shirley Acres for everything - florals, food, DJ, cake etc.and everything was FABULOUS. The customer service was impeccable, and they considered every detail every step of the way!

Florals: They did a fantastic job at matching the Pinterest pictures I provided, and turned out exactly as we had discussed in the meeting. They even provided downtown delivery of the bouquets for the day of, which was absolutely above and beyond.

Food: 10/10! We received SO many compliments on the wedding dinner meal (which I know NEVER happens) - which I hope can be relayed to the longstanding chef who works to create any customized meal plan for your event that you want!

DJ: Our assigned DJ through Shirley Acres, BillyJack, absolutely killed it. We wanted a fun time and a strong dancefloor turnout, and boy did we get it! He kept up the energy the entire 5 hours of our reception - we didn't want to leave! SO much fun, and he was completely accommodating for any and all music requests and specifics we wanted.

CAKE: The bakery, MEB Cakes, that's included in the contract for the event space - makes one of the best wedding cakes you'll ever taste. The cake turned out exactly as we planned, and we had 4 tiers with all different flavors and fillings! I would love to get another one made just for the taste someday.

Overall - this is absolutely the best venue choice you could make in all of Houston! Our entire event was made so smooth and so easy thanks to the wonderful Shirley Acres team. THANK YOU.

Attended a wedding this past weekend, May 5th. This is a beautiful location and the food was absolutely amazing! The mash potatoes were my absolute FAVORITE!

The DJ did his thing, too.

The wedding planner was so nice and the whole wedding was well planned. The only negative thing is that the guests house didn’t have wifi.

So happy we chose Shirley Acres as our wedding venue. Kristie was our coordinator and was amazing from start to finish. She answered all our questions during the planning phase and was 100% responsive and supportive. The whole team was awesome! Thank you for making our wedding so special.

Our daughter has her wedding in May. The staff at Shirley’s Acres are readily available via email and by telephone. I am so glad we are having her wedding at this venue. We are also saving thousands of dollars in floral arrangements.

Very nice knowledgeable staff, beautiful grounds, variety of venues, accomodations for convenience and getting ready. Prices are reasonable for this caliber of place.

Shirley acres was absolutely wonderful! From the day we toured it it was an easy process for the wedding planning. The only con on our day was the rain and we missed out on the beautiful greenery that was one of the reasons we booked the venue. We had Allie as our coordinator and omg she hit it out of the ballpark with the entire staff. From the initial meeting to the rehearsal and the day of Allie had it down and taken care of. She really felt part of the family so fast and it made nerves and anxiousness go away. The food was exceptional and we chose the Italian buffet (we still think about the pastas and want the recipe), the DJ they provide was great especially for a Latino wedding, the florals were even better than I expected. With our wedding being switched inside due to the rain I was worried about florals but omg they just made it look elegant and beautiful! It was breathtaking. MEB cakes who provided the wedding cake was EXCEPTIONAL! The owner Bob really pitched that to us when touring and he was not wrong about the cake and everything else included in the packet. We have family in spring and nearby Houston area so the drive wasn’t too bad for many of our guests but this place is so worth it if you consider it far. It was also only the 3rd place we toured and it was the most budget friendly for our wedding budget out of all the places we had planned to look at. Within an hour of the tour we called back to start the booking for our date. The owner and workers really are there for you and to make your day the absolute best! Tour & book them!

Beautiful venue, reasonable pricing, all-inclusive, made life so much easier. Everyone loved the food. Loved our wedding coordinator April and the owner was fabulous.

We had our wedding at Shirley Acres on November 21,2022. It was absolutely amazing. Allie, our coordinator was a true life saver, and always by our side, ensuring that we had everything we needed. We can’t say enough good about her! Her personality, and ability to ensure everything ran smoothly was truly special. Our guests were impressed by the Italian food option we chose, and the cake by M. E. B was absolutely perfect. We were truly blessed and could not have picked a better venue to celebrate our day at. Thank you to almost the wonderful staff that helped make everything possible, as well. We really appreciate all of your hard work and dedication for our event!

Shirley Acres was the perfect venue for our daughter's wedding. From beginning to end, we were impressed with the organization and attention to details. Bob Shirley was so welcoming and professional. Our wedding coordinator, Kelly, was organized and patient with the rehearsal and wedding. The pasta buffet was delicious! The DJ was complimentary of our daughter's playlist. Everyone enjoyed dancing and having a beautiful celebration! I have to admit that this was one of the most enjoyable weddings that I have ever attended. Thank you to all the wonderful people at Shirley Acres for making our daughter's wedding so memorable!

I can't say enough about the staff and grounds at Shirley Acres. My wedding was a dream thanks to the lovely team there. Bob and Allie were my contacts - Allie is next level fantastic. We are based out of town and the team there helped immensely with video walkthroughs, multiple calls, soooo many questions from me - ha. It all went incredibly smooth and I'm so thankful for the location and experience. The food was AMAZING - Felipe is a star. He can literally cook anything. The compliments we got on the food and location were overwhelming and so reassuring. Thank you, all!

Such an amazing venue, the staff was amazing specially our day of Cordinator Kelley Kramer she did an amazing job at making sure everything came out perfect.

Wow! I cannot recommend this venue more. From the day we toured, to the wedding day itself, everything was amazing. The venue is beautiful. Grounds/gardens are outstanding and the Garden room - just beautiful. Every question asked during planning was answered promptly. Every detail thought of well ahead of time. It is an all inclusive venue which I highly recommend. A very high standard but very affordable compared to other venues we toured. All the staff are excellent, very kind, caring and accommodating. Allie was our wedding planner and she is just amazing! She made sure everything was absolutely perfect. Listened to what the bride and groom wanted but also made great suggestions to help their day be everything they hoped for. So professional, but also so sensitive to all our needs, especially the Bride’s throughout the wedding day! We loved that Margaret the florist is on site, so any changes needed last minute could be accommodated. Our flowers and the brides bouquet so beautiful. Music at the wedding was very important to all of us, Paul the DJ did not disappoint! We definitely had a full dance floor, fun party from start to finish!
The food! WOW! Outstanding food and service. So many of our guests commented on the delicious food. Our experience of buffets have not always been great, but not at Shirley Acres! Outstanding chef! All the food was presented beautifully, delicious and hot and plenty of it!
