Shrine of The Black Madonna Cultural and Event Center reviews
16I enjoy the classes offered as well as the Buy Black Market. Their practice of self determination and community keeps me coming back
Used to come to church here as a child and recently started attending again. Very welcoming. My husband and i gain so much knowledge with each service. Can’t wait to bring my new baby with me to continue the tradition.
Went to a African American pop up sales /fair. There was a great assortment of foods, clothes, books, jewelry and all kind of fun stuff to see. We had a great time. Its was so wonderful to see unique items.
My friend and I went on Easter Saturday and we still had major fun! Not as many people as we expected but the energy was still amazing. Definitely check out the library and get something to eat from there! Support Black business.
The Shrine of Black Madonna and Albert Cleage Jr please do get familiar with this sacred needed institution and community and Ancestor.
Beautiful place Beautiful Queens thank you all for showing so much love to my cousin Tammie?
First Saturday of the month parking lot small vendors fair, good opportunity to to small businesses.
What a day we had! We got to the Market Days event and got knowledge-based info from vendors and other shoppers, alike. So good to be around our people. I had some great gourmet vegan food, the dirty rice was THE BEST I'VE EVER EATEN. We got 'intentionally waisted'. Bought a beautiful African dress frm Mr A. Lewis, and had the best treats by Tina. What an abso fabu day!?
Very peaceful place, nice people, great entertainment for all has alot of parking for events it
This was the second time I was able to visit there. This is a place to go-to to set up shop and and to help get you some more exposure to open your business.
I Love the Black Owned Businesses!
People sharing knowledge you feel the love and the energy. Always a variety of pop-up shops. They are amazing. It's an adventure and an experience.
The people there were very nice, and very helpful. I went in to vote, and was out in minutes! Voting should ALWAYS be this quick!
They had early voting so I went. They need more I'd checkers, their 20 voting machines were never full. People were nice and professional.
The most wonderful uplifting, spiritual, frrindlest institution I have ever been to in my entire life.
I've been to a few market days here and also to the Black Food Trucks event in the fall of 2019; everything has always been fabulous. I've always felt very welcomed and the events have been well-organized and with a wide range of vendors. I think the last time I went, I left with laundry detergent, cold brew hibiscus tea, some vegan carrot cake, and a pot of hand cream. Everything fabulous. So yeah, I'll go again, as often as they'll let me:)
Best kept secret in Houston has a bookstore and black holocaust museum best thing it's always free
