Sidecar, New Braunfels TX

Sidecar has a great atmosphere, wonderful drinks, and my favorite times to be there is when the pianist plays. A great place to enjoy a great night with loved ones listening to some relaxing music!

Terrific venue for eclectic cocktails, tapas and live jazz. Excellent service. Seating is tight, packed and maybe a bit too close for patrons preferring more personal spacing.

Wow. My husband and I had the most magical wedding reception ever at Prince Solms Inn and The Sidecar! We got compliments all night long from our guests about how fun, unique, and classy this place is. Truly we could not have imagined a more perfect spot for our intimate Christmas wedding! John and his staff worked so incredibly hard to ensure the night went smoothly and was exactly what we wanted. He met with myself, my husband, and my parents on multiple locations to help with planning, menus, bar menu, etc.

This spot is perfect for your next celebration, for a romantic date night, or just because! It’s truly a hidden gem and we will cherish our memories from this night forever and ever!

Overall mediocre. First impression was a cute little underground cocktail bar. Cocktails were decent. Food was a serious skip. We got the lobster rolls which somehow were fatty and the lobster tasted like it had sat out for too long, seriously bottom of a fishing boat stinky. Server was rude when we told him why we didn’t finish any of it, asked if we had ever had lobster… so apparently not great quality control on the food and rude reaction of the waiter definitely makes this place a skip in the future.

Every time I’ve been here they knock it out of the park. Food, drinks, ambiance- all 10/10. Legit making me consider not moving out of new Braunfels can’t wait to have my birthday here!

Ps try the lobster rolls they’re to DIE FOR!

This is THE place to go for a swanky low key night in downtown New Braunfels. Live music, delicious uniquely crafted cocktails, and an excellent staff all make for a guaranteed good time. Definitely check out their happy hour from 4-6 on Tuesday-Friday for $6 cocktails

Overall, this is a cozy place with a great atmosphere. Upon arriving, we went to the bar only to be ignored by the bartender. We were standing behind the sitting patrons and the bartender asked a couple of ladies if they wanted a refill right in front of us. Luckily, the a waitress came over to get our drink order. Our party arrived and we were seated. We were told they had another reservation at 7: 30, as a "polite"way of telling us to leave by then. The server was mediocre, not friendly or warm. This place might deserve another chance as the atmosphere and delicious cocktails were it's saving grace, the service, not so much.

This place is like a blast from the past. Love the atmosphere. Drinks are artisan level. Can’t wait to go back.

Visited today 11/4/23. Our friends were victim of racism by the owner. We are latin, Texas-based professionals. The bartender let us know he could not serve us another round because the owner was not ok with us being there. He came us with a story about us not taking care of the restroom. Disrespectful to say the least.

If you want a very well crafted cocktail and some good live music - with great atmosphere - you won't find better in New Braunfels.or a lot of other places. Sidecar is an all-time favorite of ours. If Brett Cline happens to be at the piano, even better.

Loved the entertainment. We come to The Sidecar to hear Little Jewford and are never disappointed! He is awesome! Our table had a reservation. Our only complaint is that if you are going to limit a party to a 2 hour reservation, you let the party enjoy their 2 hours. Towards the end of our reservation, we ordered another drink and were told we only had 10 mins left at our table. The next party hadn't even arrived, and we were being pushed out the door.

I wish we had this bar where we live! I absolutely adored the three piece band, atmosphere, and drinks. We had a great time here and can’t wait to go back soon.

Awesome jazz band was playing. Our waiter was on it. Didn't skip a beat. I had the lobster rolls. They were stuffed with lobster and delicious. 10 out 10.

Love this place for the live music, handmade drinks, and classic speakeasy motif. It’s a funky little place with a line out the door everyday. Make reservations.

Nice place to have cocktails. The band was warming up as we left. Should have stayed. They do take reservations.
