I have Filed Suit Against the Sisemore Law Firm and Here is Why

To all those assessing whether to hire the Sisemore Law Firm. I am going to give you the facts, and let you decide. I have recently filed a lawsuit against the Sisemore Law Firm. Mr. Sisemore was someone with whom I had a former relationship, so I felt like I could trust him. I was both disappointed and very wrong. How Justin Sisemore and the Sisemore Law Firm managed my case is tantamount to stealing under the guise of providing legal services.
In short, I hired the Sisemore Law Firm some 28 days before trial. Based on all of the surrounding facts, Justin knew, or he should have known that there would be no trial. But in spite of that, Justin burned through my $15,000 retainer preparing for this trial that ultimately ended up getting continued from March until October. But regardless, Justin burned through the full retainer and before the money was even all gone, he went to the judge behind my back and had the judge order me to pay him more. Once he did that, I terminated the relationship, but at the same time, the Sisemore Law Firm filed a Motion to Withdraw from my case. Had Justin and his firm acted ethically and responsibly, he would not have prepared for a trial that he knew was not going to happen and then there would have been plenty left of the retainer to perhaps work towards a settlement.
When I confronted Justin about this, he said he did this because I insisted on going to trial. This would be a complete lie. And even if that were true, an ethical lawyer would have advised his client of the realities of the situation and he would have put that advice in writing. Justin wasn’t concerned about his client, he was focused on lining his pocket. So, yes – unfortunately I have resorted to suing him. Not something I wanted to do but something I feel like I’m being forced to do.
If Justin has the guts to respond to this review, he might mention that I was sued by two other lawyers. He would be correct. But let’s make sure the whole story gets out there. First off, let me state up front that I ended up paying a total of in the neighborhood of $50,000 for a divorce that on paper was very simple. If you have a hard time conceiving how that could be, then you haven’t gone through a divorce. The system is one like you have never experienced. If you want to get an idea, simply watch the Documentary – Divorce, Inc.
Well, I got tired of being taken advantage of, so I stood my ground. I fired the first attorney and she sued me. I filed counterclaims against her. She ended up collecting nothing. Then I hired Justin and experienced the problems noted above. The 3rd attorney, who I thought was better, turned out to be of the same ilk. Yes, he ended up suing me, and again I filed counterclaims. I have been willing to sit and mediate with that attorney but he has yet to sit and face me. This is because he knows what he did during the course of representing me was wrong which is why I believe he doesn’t want to face me.
It’s hard to hold these attorneys accountable. The system is complex and they have the advantage and they know it. So, though I may look like a disgruntled client, that’s not the case. I’m simply one who has said, “enough. ”
So – I can’t speak what your experience might be with the Sisemore Law Firm. I just know mine. It was unethical, reprehensible, dishonest, self-serving. And he didn’t come close to achieving what I hired him to do. This is because that wasn’t his focus. That was my experience with the Sisemore Law Firm. And, yes – I’m writing to tell about it. And it is all 100% true.

From the first time I entered the office until after the decree was signed, everyone at the firm has treated me with kindness and respect. Pam Wilder worked very hard to make sure I was well represented during my divorce. She was tough on opposing counsel but kind to me. She was very patient and let me know what was happening every step of the way. I'm very glad I chose this firm to handle my divorce. Thank you, Ms. Wilder!

Much too expensive. I’d continue to consult with attorneys who can be hired at a lesser rate. I wouldn’t hire him again.

Justin Sisemore is an amazing and gifted attorney. He is doing what he was born to do. He just took me through a very difficult divorce with an extremely contentious ex husband.

During the year and a half leading up to the final trial there were many situations that required Justin to be prepared and ready to fight for me. The opposing council was an arrogant and pompous attorney that Justin had no problem staying ahead of. Watching him battle against this man was in itself gratifying as I was able to see a huge display of his skill level and professionalism. I was so proud of him and so were my friends and family who came to support me.

I am an older lady and though no one wants or plans to have divorce happen in their lives, for someone my age it is especially scary. Prior to the final trial Justin prepared me as my own son would have by being as tough with me as he could be. I sometimes thought I wouldn't get through it but as it turned out I was prepared, which was always his main goal. There was a pre-nuptial agreement and the opposing council was as ferocious and obnoxious as they come but Justin's way of handling him was a joy to experience. Justin is a fighter but in a good way. He is smart and savvy with a great deal of passion, and I am so glad he was not the attorney working for my ex husband! He was an answer to prayer. He fought for me to keep my home and got me a decent amount of spousal maintenance, which from my understanding is challenging to get in the state of Texas.

If you want a winner and someone who is on top of his game when it counts the most then you want Justin.

Drags it out as long as possible to get more and more money from you and then uses bullying tactics and coercion in order to get a settlement when they think you cannot pay anymore.
