SmartStyle Hair Salon, El Paso TX

I’ve gone to this place a few times however after today never again. The store is inside of Walmart, as I was walking by I saw there was $20 in front of the counter. I picked it up and showed the guy (MATTHEW) and continued walking away. He chased me out of the store and said it was a “clients” he then SNATCHED THE money out of my hand. People around us were even shocked at how ugly he reacted. After shopping I went back in and asked for proof that he had already contacted the client to give the money back. He then began stuttering trying to figure out what to say and then changed the whole story claiming it was actually his money that he dropped when he was going to make a deposit. He showed me an envelope of money saying it was from there yet the money in the envelope was all straight and the money I found was folded like it fell from someone pocket, not like it was ready to be deposited like the rest. He kept the money for himself when I rightfully found it. I had no problem giving it back since he claimed he knew who it belonged to, however it was all a lie. Was making that big scene in front of everyone worth pocketing the $20? I will tell this story to everyone I know because the main thing I didn’t appreciate was how ugly and rude he snatched the money from my hands. Hopefully he can use it to better up his look rather than looking like he just got out of bed.

We had the gentleman cut my fidgety 5 year old son’s hair twice now. He was very good and calm and friendly with my son. So much so that when I told my son we were going somewhere else to get a cut my son said no, he wanted to come back here.

Great with kids. If you have children and they're finicky like mine is about their hair, then I recommend you make an appointment with this salon, you won't be disappointed.

Matthew cut my daughters hair absolutely perfectly - she asked for a Wolf's Cut - and she got EXACTLY what she wanted! <3 Thank you so much!

Mathew is always so wonderful with my son! My son dislikes getting his haircut but Mathew always makes him feel so comfortable and does an amazing job. I love coming here!

I went there to get my hair dyed a beautiful cyan blue color but they had me under the air conditioner which wasn’t good for the simple reason it takes heat for the bleach and toner to work, they had me there for around 8 hours and once I finally left I went home with a green color instead of cyan. About 2 days later the hair dye was already fading so there was blotches of blond from the bleach being visible, I went back and they offered to redo the color for free but I didn’t want them to mess it up again so instead of the beautiful cyan color I wanted I had to go pure black. On the bright side they did give me a free hair treatment twice.

The gentleman that assisted he looked like he just rolled out of bed. He had no colors. The shop looked like it was falling apart really dirty and dusty. The place had a mop water dirty towels smell.horrible!

Terra is knowledgeable, friendly, skilled, and very reasonably priced! I have had her style and color my hair before and I am a repeat client. I highly recommend her!

Had been going to Aveda salon Westend but they were not able to schedule me for weeks so while shopping at Walmart decided to stop in and inquire as to the products used at Smartstyle and had a pleasant conversation with Matthew and Terra and decided to take a chance and Terra did such an amazing job my hair was beautiful! I will be visiting Matt and Terra in the near future again. Thank you

I want to put a review on Julian he did my sons perm. He did a good job and very professional I highly recommend him!
