Smile Island Dental - Kathrina Carrasco DDS, Plano TX

I have been with this office since previous owner and dentist for 9 years. I moved 1 hr away and still keep same office for my kids. However, With new staff, I provided them new insurance policy with social number, insurance company and company of policy holder, they still refused to look it up and just want me to give them member ID and phone number instead of just calling insurance company and verify with benefit. Nowadays dental and vision insurance company don’t even send card out because all info I gave them can be looked up and verify with insurance. I rather find closer dental for whoever really wants to work. So disappointed.

It was my kids first x-ray and cleaning visit. Everyone was nice and friendly. My kid had fun. Would recommend to anyone looking for a kids dentist.

One of the worst dentists I have come across. Took my 6 year old, and she does have some considerable cavities.

The treatment plan was crazy invasive, wanted to pull a considerable number of teeth and put multiple crowns under sedation.

The Dr came across as very arrogant as I wasn't comfortable with the treatment plan. I wanted a plan where we can monitor and excute serious issues. Rather than listen, her attitude was, it my way or get a second opinion.
Which is what I will be doing.

That said, kudos and big props to the front desk lady who was giving us the treatment plan and cost brake down.
She knew I was aggitated after finding out what sorta treatment my 6 year old would have to endure. And was super patient with me. The Dr can seriously learn something from her.

Great customer service all the way around. The staff as a whole makes it 100% for my daughter. She’s usually scared of dentist but today was very smooth and easy.

My visit today was excellent, very good service, everything is very nice, excellent Doctor, very pleased.

Dr Carrasco and her staff were very nice, and explained everything in detail. Will definitely be coming back:)

We had an Amazing experience! This is one of the best pediatric dentist offices in Plano, I would recommend this dental office to everyone! I gave 5 stars because when we first walked in we were greated with courtesy also the staff and the dentist was so patient and pleasant! One of The best in Plano hands down.

I have bringing all 4 of my kids here since they were at the age to have their gums checked! My kids are now 17,15,8 and 4. I DEFINTELY recomendó Smile Island Dental. The staff is super nice and Dr. Carrasco is awesome.
