Smoothie King reviews
15Store was closing at 9, got there 8: 55 (I know early to cut off), but guy inside (30 year old ish dude with light stubble beard and slight double chin) had already fully closed and cleaned store. Was really looking forward to smoothie king after a tough game. Love smoothie king but never had something like this happen within the establishment, usually the employees are amazing, but whoever this guy was just showed laziness.
Bee berry sting Smoothie bowl was not prepared as usual
Skimpy on product l was given very light honey and barely no granola on my topping like try was low on inventory was not happy.
Sign just after we come in the door has some things to say about manners. Etiquette is not very good here. I paid for my items and did not know if it went through and was left standing there. The music is so loud that if someone did call out my smoothie (name would be a lot more convenient) I didn't hear it. With the music being loud the staff acted like they were going to slam the smoothie back down on the counter and did not call out what it was a second time. Everything in the place is super loud. Perhaps some additional training and a microphone with loudspeaker would be the solution here. Felt disrespected as I attempted to ask if the smoothie was mine and was ignored twice until I asked a third time then there was a quiet response that I could not hear and half of a nod. Doing my best to just leave things better than I find them but it's not easy with this kind of situations and treatment. First time I have had a problem at any location. Perhaps retraining is the key with amplification and taking peoples names.
I had an absolutely horrible experience here. On Saturday afternoon, august 19, I came in ordering a smoothie, and I waited for a long time before I was acknowledged. There was only one man working there, and he completely ignored me. While he was ignoring me, he was slamming stuff all over and liquid was splashing in all directions, contaminating the surfaces and floors. He then finally acknowledged me after a while and asked what I wanted. I asked him if he thought the angel food was good. He said “I don’t know, just pick one” in a very rude and loud tone. So I picked the angel food smoothie, and put my credit card in the register. The register was malfunctioning and I asked him for help, and he told me “dude just do it again, I’m busy here! If it doesn’t work, then I’ll just throw out your smoothie and you can leave”
I’ve never been treated this poorly by a man at smoothie king before, and I’m a regular customer. I heavily advise the manager of smoothie king to conduct an investigation into his behavior, I believe his behavior deserves serious disciplinary action. I’m a doctor and if me or my nurses ever treated a patient this way, that would be completely unacceptable in the workplace. I left the store nearly in tears and spoke to a few customers who left the store too, all of whom told me that they thought that man was the most unprofessional man they’ve ever encountered.
I was visiting from San Antonio and I was really surprised with the greeting at the door about “manners”. Wasn’t going to make a big deal about it but even cashier seemed a bit rude and not helpful. He did keep his composer and took my order in an according manner. The problem is the greeting in the from that states and I quote
“If you don’t know how to say “hello/thank you” walk out and find some manners
Please and thank you.
The next problem was even though i made my selection when ordering and saying please and saying thank you on the way out it seems it was not returned. So I was confused with the marquee sign with they’re comment. I Don’t need an apology but it can make people feel unwelcome. Not sure whether or not corporate knows about this but just do better at the greeting. Doesn’t make sense if employee can’t return the same response.
Take care!
By the way The smoothies were excellent!
It seems that I got very lucky to walk in and have DJ working! It was 10: 30am on a Monday. I had never been to any Smoothie King location before (that I can remember). I read the reviews and walked in a little afraid of what kind of service I would get. DJ was helpful and friendly, he suggested a few options after I said that it was my first time there and what kind of smoothie I was looking for. I would def go back, and hope DJ is the one working when I go!
Hours say opens at 7 am. Arrive at 7: 55, door locked, no one home.
Edit: as I was trying to find another location between me and work, the young woman turned the lock and fixed my breakfast problem, so. Shrug?
Horrible staff horrible attitude zero communication had headphones in wasn't paying attention ridiculous don't know if I'll ever come back I give this location an F and I hope management cleans it up
For starters, there's a blonde haired girl wearing a hoodie with what appears to be a thong on. You can't see shorts and when she rinses things in the sink or reaches into the cooler you see her WHOLE body front and back. As a woman, I'm not only offended, but uncomfortable!
I made an order for a bowl and the other girl there was making it, but when she put it in the counter I asked if she had put all that I ordered on it and the rude response was totally uncalled for. No one is checking the tickets to confirm what should be in the order.
I came here hoping for a better experience than another location, but this was worse! I don't need to see half naked teenage girls showing all their business to everyone! Horrible and total disrespect. This isn't a gentleman's club! PUT CLOTHES ON IN PUBLIC! Maybe then you won't have to wear the hoodie to keep warm! Gross!
Bad attitudes, and wrong sizes. Usually when I go to smoothie king, or any establishment in Texas im met with awesome customer service. This was not the case here. Gentleman in front threw his hands up in frustration because I was not ready to order. And then when he took the order had a horrible attitude. Even had an attitude to his coworker. Don’t go here.
Smoothies are delicious, location is convenient. As other reviewers have pointed out, lots of high schoolers poorly trained in customer service working here. Chick-fil-a service it is not. If you go in on a weekday after 8 PM, you will likely find no one in the front of the store, but multiple high school kids in the back storeroom doing who-knows-what.
The smoothie was delicious. That's where the 2 stars came from. The other 3 you can thank the gentleman that was very rude. Throwing dishes aswell. Isn't the first time your employees acted this way. Step it up! 2-14-23 5pm
If I gave one star per straw on my order today there would be no stars. The smoothies were good but if your gona order delivery… ask for straws
I've been meaning to leave 5 stars for a while. When I'm staying in Austin my friend and I go in here a minimum of 5 days a week on our way back from the gym. We walk in and D. J.knows our orders right down to the added spinach etc. He's the best. Also don't forget to see the special smoothies on the chalkboard menu to the left. The peanut butter cup one is fire.
Love love loveee this location! Especially the manager DJ, he is always so nice every time I come in and always makes my day when I see him. He even remembers my order and makes my smoothies absolutely perfect every time! Makes me feel special, thank you DJ and thank you Smoothie King!
