They forward all call to the national 800 number which cannot help me. Answer your phone you lazy. I live out of the US and my case is stuck with them… for a couple of months now! MFs are holding my case even if they cannot do anything with it

Do all the applications and schedule online and you will be in and out in no time. I was scheduled at 10am, got a check-in link 15 minutes before scheduled time (while still on the road). My number got called at 9: 59am and I was done at 10: 08am! Very impressed! I was there on a Monday after a holiday, which is one of the busier days according to their website, and it was in fact crowded, all seats were occupied. But if you did everything beforehand, your experience would go smoothly

After acquiring my Certificate of naturalization, I was there today to have my SSN update.

I lined up at 8am, and after 30 minutes later they let us in.

I had a total opposite experience to the review that we see here, they were really super nice and I got my thing done at 9: 15am.
(Maybe the security guards have been replaced)

Really have to give props to their people. I got in with a short wait and was help with just what I needed.

The security guard with white glasses who print form is very rude and disrespectful even one star is more for him.
His behavior is not acceptable, he need to be at home if he don’t know how to behave with people

Tips: 1) avoid Monday mornings; 2) make an appointment before coming in.

Now why? Why? Won't they find my documents for my children and my driver's license? I go in and they can not find them. Never ever again will I mail my documents. I thought I could trust them, but noooooo. Please find them.

Government employees get paid when us hardworking taxpayers pay our taxes! The employees need to keep that in mind at this office! Stop showing selective favoritism towards one group because they’re the same color as yours! This is such hypocrisy! I arrived 15 mins earlier than my appointment and soon had my token number called on the screen. The counter I was assigned (probably 11 in the right hand corner) had a colored woman working there who refused to let me get my business done because she wanted to display selective favoritism which was evidently on the basis of one’s skin color! How do such people get to keep their jobs? ! It’s downright pathetic to have such an incompetency displayed in a government office! Later, my husband went to tell on her to someone of higher authority and they got me assigned to another better counselor (counter 26 maybe) that was so good in conduct that I was out and about in no time.

I was here this morning to apply for my child's ssn, he was born overseas, i had everything ready and came when they just open, i was out of the door in 15 mins! 15 mins people, i couldn't believe it, that is including wait time! If you are coming here to apply for your child's ssn, highly recommend u come right when they open, wow unbelievable!

The most unpleasant thing that anyone can find in life are the security guards in the place that are unpleasant, they are rude, racist, discriminatory and not at all professional, they have the right to even take you out of line and send you to the end even though you have arrived since 6 in the morning

Absolutely no comment. I would give a negative 5 star rating if I could. Horrendous! Avoid this location at all costs! Take my word or see if you agree afterwards!

Security guard is extremely rude. There is absolutely no reason for his behavior. You could do better. Come prepared!

After waiting for 2 hours, The lady at #15 will not handle ss benefit for me, Instead, she made a telephone appointment 52 days later. What a waste for office usage.

The 2 security guards apparently do not do their job well, and make this office Very unorganized!

Also, when I waited outside, the security guard came and gave me a ticket, but the ticket number was not called even after I waited inside for 3 hours! I somehow went to the check-in computers and got myself another ticket. This new ticket, however, let me get called only in 30 minutes. I do not know why she did this to me!

So folks, either come to this office with an appointment, or get yourself checked in with a new ticket after getting inside, even you are given one before getting in.

Never picks up the phone. Leadership at this office needs to step up with responding to customer service issues. SSA Ombudsman's office and IG need to step in.

Closed and no way to reschedule the appointment as its in the past, had to wait for almost another 2 weeks for a brand new appointment and I had to fill the same application (again).
On the day of the appointment we didn't know they're closed until last minute and we don't know why!
