Sohum Desai, MD, Harlingen TX

Dr. Desai was my grandmother’s surgeon, he was the most arrogant, disrespectful and rude man I’ve ever met in the medical field. Ignored all of my questions with a rude and upset answer. Please go anywhere else, save yourself the time, money and experience he was an awful doctor, someone take away his license. He discharged her and she was not okay still and when called he said she was not his patient not his concern, he showed up a few hours late with the worst attitude I’ve met seen from someone in the medical field.

He never keeps he appointments
His office already cancelled my appointment a total of 6 times.

Doctor Desai is a sweetheart. He has the best that's like miners that I have ever seen in a doctor he to have taken care of my mom like it was his mom. They only problem that I have with doctor decide. Is his office team? His office team has no empty with anybody. They don't care if you're suffering. They don't care, they don't care and they don't care. I had my appointment for my mother In June 13th and now is there to get a rescheduled? Since then, twice in June July 28th in August. A guy rescheduled to September, and now they call me. They rescheduled it into this December. This is ridiculous, they're offices refusing to give me next weekend. Why they keep rescheduling her? According to them, no one sees doctor decise patients. It's just the office that has a problem with anybody getting seen by the physician so I just need people to understand doctor decide is a sweetheart, it's just the office people don't know what. And then when you call to find out why they're getting rescheduled the lady just hanks up the phone

Dr.seems caring but staff doesn't I need surgery on my shoulder & was denied by insurance because they didn't summit papers test needed to approve it. I have been trying since March 2023 and we r in last days of July 2023 to receive a call back from Ray & everytime I call message has been expedited to higher degree. They even forwarded email to supervisor Christina with no luck. I guess I'm giving up! And look somewhere else! They don't care it's not them with the pain.

My husband and I have been at the hospital since 7: 40 this morning (3-3-2023) and still have not had procedure done. This doctor decides to go do procedures in McAllen first, gets tied up and here we are still waiting. Harlingen and McAllen are NOT just a skip and a hop either. If you have a major surgery somewhere else then don’t schedule other procedures.

Couldn’t be more happier with my moms neurosurgeon Dr Sohum Desai, he took really good care of my mother. We are really grateful and lucky to have had him as my moms surgeon. We hope and pray that he is blessed in everything he does and continues helping others like he did in our situation. Thank you dr Desai
