I recently got my haircut at SOK Salon on Kirby, and had a wonderful experience. Everyone was so nice and the haircut was excellent! If you're looking for a place for your hair needs in Houston, you can't do better than SOK Salon on Kirby!

Ashley was amazing. She’s done my hair for probably 14 years or more and I follow her anywhere. SoK was a beautiful space, decorated and organized well. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. I loved and greatly appreciated how helpful they were to Ashley also, as this was her first weekend at SoK. I really enjoyed my experience and my outcome!

Jadyn is super informative and such a great stylist! She always lets me know what she’s going to do in order to achieve my desired look!

Jeremy listened carefully to what I wanted, proposed a strategy, and checked back with me through the whole process. My hair looks great; it’s exactly what I wanted.

It is always a joy to go to SOK. But this was the first time in a year that was more relaxed with everyone vaccinated. So enjoyed my visit. Everyone is professional and super friendly.

I loved my cut and blowout and will be coming back. The salon has a great atmosphere and offers refreshments during your service or any wait time. Great service and wonderful haircut! They provide great guidance on appropriate hair care products for your special hair/scalp needs. They will venture past trying to sell only their products in store. They were out of the product my hairdresser was going to recommend, they went to the website of the company and found out that it was discontinues: (. They went so far as to go online and looked for generally available products at drugstores and provided great guidance on what to look for. They really care about healthy, beautiful hair.

Alden is a lovely human being and a joy to talk to. He good-naturedly tsked tsked my awful self inflicted DIY pandemic haircut and quickly rehabbed it into an actual hairstyle that is cute and easy to style. Very happy with the service.

It's been about 3 weeks since I went to SOK for my Ouidad cut with Jeremy. I have gotten so many compliments on my hair since the cut. The service was excellent and the salon itself was clean, inviting, and overall very nice. Jeremy was great. He listened carefully to what I wanted and we settled on a cut/style for me. I highly recommend going for a curly hair cut.

SOK is a well run salon, clean, classy and has a unique ambiance. The stylists are all passionate about their craft and all their customers leave happy with the results and the experience. My stylist Jeremy is the BEST! Highly recommend this salon if you are looking for high quality services and are willing to pay for it. You will get your money's worth!

Vance is amazing! No matter where I am even out of town I get multiple compliments on my hairstyle and from people of all ages. Vance knows how to keep you looking sassy and sharp. She is very talented and works with you to make sure you get exactly what you are looking for.

Amazing job by Jeremy! Had the Ouidad/curly hair cut and he brought life back into my pandemic stricken hair. Definitely recommend and I will definitely continue to be a client.

It's hard to believe, but I've been going to Alden at SOK for almost a year now. Before that time, I went to several different shops, and it was hit or miss. Alden always provides consistent service, and I am always pleased with my hair after leaving. I've gotten to know him a bit, and he is truly a super human being. The shop has a good vibe to it with none of the attitude associated with many fine hair salons. Everyone in the shop is warm, friendly and accepting of all patrons. I plan to stay with SOK (hey, that rhymes!) for as long as possible.

Superior hair color / cut / styling from Jeremy, ALWAYS. I would have given 5 stars for this salon on that basis, but this is the 2nd appointment I've had where there was a client who did not wear a mask the entire duration of their appointment (same woman), and no one asked her to wear one. She uses the stylist closest to the shampoo station. Makes me uncomfortable to come to the salon now.

All the staff at SOK are extremely accommodating and friendly. Alden listened to what I wanted for my cut and offered his honest opinion. He did an amazing job. The cut came out better than I had envisioned. It was an awesome experience all around.
