Sonesta ES Suites Austin The Domain Area

Ok place, nothing fancy, nothing bad. They have a 2 room suite, if you're looking for one.

I was scolded repeatedly by a staff member for calling and asking to be connected to my room too often. My boyfriend's phone was broken and that was our only means of communication when I was working. When I questioned if they offered operator service included in the hotel stay she answered that they did, and I gave her ample opportunity to rescind her scolding, but she would not take it. Instead she doubled down scolding me for asking to be connected to my room. This was my worst experience in a hotel ever.

Staff was excellent from Check-in to check-out. The front desk and housekeeping in particular were very professional and helpful.

My friend and I did not want to leave the nice comfort of our hotel. We were there for 3 days. First time staying at Sonesto and definitely not the last.

Traveled down to Austin with my family for a vacation for the weekend. When checking in, the front desk clerk had an attitude but I assumed it was from the long day. As I'm checking in, she smelled what could of been someone had been smoking marijuana and quickly assumed I was the culprit. Very loudly stated "you can NOT smoke in our rooms" as I'm standing there unaware of what she is telling me and why! She felt that I needed to know that instead of informing me of all the services and amenities available for my stay. We were not informed in the fact the rooms are only cleaned once every 7 days or after a checkout which if we had known before hand could of booked another room for our stay. Overall the location is great, if you're looking to shop or go to the Domain but I was not impressed with the service staff or concierge services. I'll gladly pay more to stay somewhere else who respects paying customers and not just assume or stereotype individuals.

Very clean and comfortable. I really enjoy the apartment style layouts. Staff was friendly, breakfast was good, and was not overpriced.

ERIKA WAS AWSOME! OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE. WE CAME DOWN FROM THE DFW TO ENJOY THE REGGAE FESTIVAL AND SHE HELP SET OUR TRIP OFF RIGHT! NICE HOTEL, CLEAN, GREAT PRICE. LOVE THAT IT IS CLOSE TO DOWN TOWN. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND. SORRY FOR THE ALL CAPS, LOL

The rooms we had were amazing. We were supposed to have the two room suite but I guess they over booked. They have us two rooms next to each other instead. I was not complaining because it gave us more privacy anyhow.

Sonesta ES at the domain will from now on be the hotel of choice to book for my friends and family whenever they visit! Clean interior and grounds/pool area, quiet and safe, clean good smelling room and friendly staff, Erica you are the best! The one thing I did notice was the stains on the refrigerator door in our kitchenette but wasn't at all an issue because the inside of the refrigerator was clean and cold! We will definitely stay here again in the future! Thank you to Sonesta ES staff for helping to mae our weekend a memorable and comfortable one! Definitely recommending this hotel to all my family and friends!

Okay this hotel was terrible! I feel like me and my partner were targeted and wrongfully accused. We came to this place during a weekend getaway to Austin. We stayed for two nights with our two dogs. It was easy to check in but the stay was rough. I could hear the people next to me all night doing whatever they did. The place had a dingy smell and the breakfast was trash. The worst part of it all was after checking out, we discovered a $250 charge. When I called and asked about it, they said it was because the room smelled of smoke. First of all, we spent less than 20 hours during the whole stay in the hotel, with most of it being while we were sleeping. The second thing is NEITHER OF US SMOKES, like at all. When I tried to argue it, the manager Simon, just said that’s what maintenance smelled and that’s it. I will for sure not be coming back and advise any colored or LGBTQ+ to be careful since the place “claims” we were doing things that we weren’t.

Best hotel with GREAT amenities. Great staff and super clean rooms. Amenities include basketball court, pool, fireplace, BBQ, and even free laundry. Best hotel in Austin yet

I am a deaf person. Pretty room, but one card is a problem. I don't like lady bother me because I owe and keep cards problem. They are ok can't bother me

Great staff members they are so helpful and very professional every staff member always have a smile on there faces they're very nice people.

Very relaxing stay. We were there for State competition. Affordable prices. Very nice suite. We had livingroom, kitchen and sofa bed. Very spacious! Majority of hotel is renovated except back stairs. Green old carpet. Fix that and it can be 5 stars next time. Will visit again.

Stove did not work in the room. Other than that customer service & hotel staff very friendly; greeted us.loved the amenities & liberally 5 - 10 min from everything. Will book again.

This is the best suite I’ve ever been to staff and cleaning and breakfast and the Pool is amazing highly recommend coming here this is the best suite I’ve ever been to in my life staff are the best

They were so great too help us out in a difficult situation. Other hotel canceled our reservations without warning. They got us in at a great rate and the are super friendly. Full suite with small kitchen with 2 burner hot plate, apartment sized fridge, and dish washer. Comfortable beds, furniture is a little worn but everything works and is clean.

The service just was bad in general, it felt dirty but the main bad thing about this hotel was that they kicked us out of our room without even contacting us. We were staying here due to our job the company required the hotel and we just came back one day and they had all of our belongings in the lobby. They threw away all of our groceries we had just bought. Just a really bad experience!

I booked the hotel through hotels.com and have never had a problem with other hotels. I cancelled the visit because the only room that we wanted flooded and the cancellation policy is to cancel 24 hours in advance to not be charged. We were charged one night's stay and when I contacted hotels.com they contacted the hotel and the manager said that I would be refunded, but never was. We should have never been charged in the first place because we didn't even stay and cancelled over 24 hours in advance. Avoid this hotel.
