Dog pee, leaky floors, roaches, and kitty litter. The staff was great and did their best, but there is only so much lipstick you can put on a pig. My shower had a hole in the bottom of the tub making the tile in the bathroom squishy. The whole hotel smelled like pee. I saw multiple roaches. They never cleaned my room after a cat stayed there from the previous stay and there was cat litter all over the carpet. Very unsanitary.

Jennifer and her team are wonderful. This place has the very much needed friendliest staff and comfortable atmosphere. The location is relatively convenient being closer to Randalls and City Center. Lovely place. Helpful team and amazing management.

What can I say.our stay here was AMAZING! Great location for what we needed, and GREAT location for what we wanted.all kinds of stuff within walking (!) or short driving distance. The room was clean and comfortable; the desk chair/kitchen access was just a perfect little touch. Hot water in the shower and sinks was NEVER a problem (so nice when that happens). They have a lovely shaded outdoor sitting area under some trees that was so delightful for some evening drinks and relaxation.

But most of all, I want to thank, thank, THANK the GM Tanja and Jalen for being just wonderful to us! My friend got in super early, but Tanja helped her check in early so she wouldn't have to wait on me to get to Houston. My friend was singing her praises when she got settled. When I finally got there, Jalen was so helpful and all smiles, and Tanja knew exactly who I was when I said my friend was already here. We had a wonderful chat as I checked in and made sure all the payment stuff was settled. Excellent management and staffing is so underrated, especially when it comes to the hospitality industry. I cannot say enough fantastic things about Tanja and Jalen. Give them big raises. They are SUPERB ambassadors for your brand. Both my friend and myself will be staying with Sonestra in the future as a result; and this will definitely be one of my hotels of choice when I return to Houston.

They canceled my reservation because they entered the wrong dates for check in and check out. I had a reservation confirmation clearly showing the correct dates but they didn't have a room because they canceled it 2 days before I arrived without even trying to contact me. I wasted time on the phone with the reservation company as well as my company. They weren't even apologetic about it. They do not serve breakfast though some Sonestas do. The room was ok but a little dusty and the dishwasher had cups in it.

Update: We actually stayed there for more than a year. People at the front desk we’re great, friendly and will try to accommodate our request as best as they can. Someone from maintenance helped us out when we had problems with our car not starting. Housekeeping will come every week for cleaning. Free coffee all day. Free use of the laundry and gym.

We stayed here for 13 weeks. Had minor issues with the AC during the 1st week but they were prompt addressing it.
Our overall stay was great. Our room was cleaned weekly with fresh supply of towels, linens and some cleaning supplies. Everyone was great. We felt safe all the time. Will definitely refer to my friends.

Other than the location, this is the only thing that is good here, I wouldn't stay here ever again. Believe me when I say this is not a 4 Star or 3 Star or 2 Star Place. The toilet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a month. The shower head barely even released water. The sink had more pressure than the shower head. The afternoon people in front, well if you don't have anything nice to say, just don't say anything at all. Priced at $173.00 a night, I believe we could have done a whole lot better, but I went by some reviews and location and decided to take the chance, but I will go with the reviews next time.

Finally getting around to posting a review. Stayed here for 2 weeks in February and it was good. Id say great if I didn’t have to change rooms 3 times. Overnight desk staff is amazing. The new managers are amazing. Few front desk employees who need an attitude check but other then that it’s an ok hotel.

The 2 women working late night shift are extremely rude (front desk). They even cursed at me for asking a simple question. From the moment I walked in, they acted like they didn't want to be there. Gossiping about me as they were walking behind me, extremely rude and unprofessional. The skinny blonde lady was awfull, the other Asian lady working didn't even want to look my way when I was asking her a simple question and just chose to ignore me. I just went across the highway and got a room there. If you don't mind getting dirty looks from the front desk Employees stay here if you dont mind getting cursed at stay here.if not i Don't recommend staying here!

For the price, you absolutely can find better. We paid 173 for a Tuesday night, but I believe that did include late check out. I booked online originally for 143, but upon check in the price went up to 173. The room is decent; a comfortable bed and couch. The chair for the desk was broken, and the remote for the tv barely worked. The water temperature was inconsistent, and several of the outlets didn’t work. What was really annoying was someone from the front desk knocked on our door at 11 sharp asking if we were going to check out soon, even though we paid for late checkout. Luckily we were dressed and planning to head out in about an hour. At that point we decided to just gather our items and were at the front desk by 11: 15 and just checked out. For my money, I’d absolutely stay somewhere else.

They discriminate against able bodied people! Several times I’ve booked a non handicapped room in advance and they put me in a handicapped room. Forcing an able bodied person in to a handicapped room is the exact same thing as forcing a handicapped person into an able bodied room. This space wasn’t created for an able bodied person so it’s extremely uncomfortable or impossible to do the things i can do comfortably in a regular room. For instance there’s no countertop in the bathroom so brushing your teeth is hard because there’s nowhere to store your toothpaste, toothbrush mouthwash ect. I assume its designed like that because someone in a wheelchair could just wheel themselves to the sink & just place their items on their laps. So every time i want to brush & moisturize my hair, my beard or wash my face & brush my teeth, put in or remove my contacts i have to put the coffee table in here & stack a chair on top just to have a place to place my things (see below pic). It’s also hard to shower because the shower head is filthy caked up with soapscum ant it’s placed lower at wheelchair length. There’s also no tub and the shower floor & bathroom floor is one. I hate this place and travel extensively for work & i travel to houston every 2 weeks for personal reasons but they’ll never see another dollar of mines again. I haven’t even started on how rude the desk personnel or maids are & how they beat on you door & harass you to leave prior to check out time. If you value your money & getting exactly what you paid for avoid ALL Sonesta Suites locations.

Had to come to Katy to take my fur baby to the Gulf Coast Animal Clinic so I stayed here because they are pet friendly.
Nice room, nice outside. Walking distance to Taste of Texas, Fudruckers, Pappasito's and Pappadeaxu.
Only thing I didn't like was their choice of tv provider. DISH. I CAN'T STAND DISH.could not watch the Chiefs play the Bengals. Could not figure out how to operate the guide. Had to turn off the TV each time when I wanted to look for something. Couldn't just hit guide and pick from it.
I suggest them getting YOU TUBE tv.
I have it and it's half the price of dish and direct. Otherwise a dang nice hotel

My go to place for a reasonably priced room that is clean, quiet, and safe. The attentive staff are super stars. Free use of a comfortable laundry room with good tasting coffee. Plenty of restaurants within a safe walking distance at night. My son stayed there for a little over a month of work. I’ve stayed a couple days on two occasions.
