This legendary food truck would be one of the reasons if I ever decide to move back to Austin again.

Amazing food every time. I hope they open a restaurant sometime soon!

I wasn't expecting much considering this is the only Taiwanese in Texas. But I was pleasantly surprised. This is as good as it gets! Go here!

I rarely write reviews. But this food was so good that I have to let everyone on the internet know. Some food trucks overcharge and give you small portions, but not this place! In the bento box, you get a lot of food and every single thing is so frickin delicious. The person running it was so sweet. They sold out of the thing I really wanted to order, so they threw in an extra treat for me which wasn’t necessary but highly appreciated. Please order here!

We live up north and drive down just to eat here, love it! The bento boxes are huge, and all the foods/ flavors compliment each other in a way my trash brain can't write in words, I just love it.

This is totally the same as I eat in Taiwan, the food is awesome! I never eat the food flavor so close like my home.

We went here but accident, the breakfast food truck that we intended to visit was closed. Food sounded interesting, Taiwanese street food, so we decided ru give it a try.

Best. Mistake. Ever!

The food is so, soooo good. Excellent flavor, great portion size. And very reasonable pricing. I honestly can't wait to go back.

The Chicken Bites Box was absolutely delicious. The owner Shirley was super nice and let me know how long would food take and when I received it, all of the stuff was fresh and hot. The chicken is perfectly crisped and seasoned (they give you a very flavorful sauce but the chicken and batter by itself is excellent) and the side dishes were cooked to an ideal texture and flavor. I can't speak enough praises about how everything was and best of all, it felt like a really well balanced meal full of vegetables, fiber, protein, etc. Highly recommend anyone looking for a delicious but also nutritious meal.

Got the chicken bites bento box. Decent amount of food! They actually have fresh veggies in the box! The chicken bites were juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. I ate the cabbage side that came with it, I think it's normal to have it? Might be a cultural thing but I could leave it.

Also got the braised pork belly rice dish. It's pork belly, so be warned that it can be a bit fatty for some people. It's on a bed of white rice and the usual boiled cabbage. I really liked the taste of the dish, finished it all.

Overall, super worth getting!

We happened to be down south for my wife’s acupuncture appointment, and we finally had the opportunity to check out Song La and support the Dine With Maui charity campaign also! Just having gotten back from Taiwan, it was nice having this slice of the motherland. The fried chicken was really great with a crispy outside and juicy tender meat inside. I always enjoy the signature spices of Taiwanese fried chicken. The pork belly was great too. If it was a colder day, I would’ve wolfed that down quickly. I was also happily satisfied with the canned lychee drink because I rarely get that, and it was refreshing. My wife thought it was too sweet, but it was quite clear that her Dr Pepper had 50% more sugar than the lychee drink. The food truck park was wonderfully set around a grove of trees providing merciful shade over picnic tables and playground equipment for the kids. Perfect for our son who was hungry and just wanted to play with the other kids there. I was able to find a rare parking spot under tree shade, so hopping back in the car wasn’t too painful. Overall, a great time.

This place straight slaps! Highly recommend

Chicken bites box + yeos ice green tea

I traveled all the way across town to meet a friend here for dinner. It was totally worth the trip! The chicken was fresh and crispy, the rice was fluffy, and the cabbage was crisp.

Best of all, the lady who took my order was so kind and helpful. She even gave me a free chili oil! These guys seem pretty popular because after I ordered, they put a sign up that said they were sold out.

Song La was so delicious! I had the Taiwanese chicken bento - it came with a large portion of flavored, seasoned chicken bites that were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The bento box came with the fried chicken, tofu, cabbage, broccoli, rice and two delicious sauces - enough for two meals.

They are located in Thicket Food Park and plenty of seating. Highly recommended.

Extremely rude and dismissive tone from the worker. Didn’t get to order. Asked about the vegetarian/vegan options for a friend and was taken aback by her response. Then when trying to ask a question about a non-vegan dish she cuts me off and sternly responds “NO VEGAN OPTIONS”. I ended up not ordering.

She seemed very busy, stressed and annoyed.

Hands down best you can get in the US.
The braised belly and popcorn chicken are authentic and absolutely delicious. Can’t get this quality any where else in Texas or CA that I have personally found. Order ahead. Wait can be long at times!

Great Taiwanese good joint. Be aware the portion is huge so make sure you are hungry when you visit!
