Sonny Bryan’s Smokehouse - Inwood The Original reviews
37Horrible food onion rings were cold no flavor. BBQ sauce was bitter and taste like bad ketchup.
This place is amazing! A place with smoked ribs AND APPLE COBBLER that is Open 24-7 and has been doing it since **1910**? Yep. You need to eat here.
Historical establishment here in Dallas, it has not changed at all. The food is great the people are very nice and everyone should go by there and try it. I have never gotten anything from there that was not excellent hot and ready. You might have to wait a few minutes because they do prepare everything item-by-item I love that fact! The staff is friendly and very helpful. The sauce is actually kept hot which is very very neat. Very friendly people and a very nice establishment indeed
Good food poor service not very freindly at front counter.come on guys.smile.treat everyone good?
No complaints about this place at all. I’m always salivating when I order here. Service is pretty standard in regards to time of order to getting your food. I always get the beef (slice) with beans and potato salad. A good thing is this place is 24 hrs. Dress regular bc the bbq smell can stick, but that’s what it’s supposed to do when it’s good bbq. Although I haven’t had everything from this place, my peers, who have had other stuff haven’t had any issues with the taste of the food.
Food is absolutely delightful! The brisket is to die for. Great food, great service, great location. The menu is vast and there is a variety to select from. The prices are very reasonable. I absolutely love this place! Definitely my go to for some great bbq
Meat potato was great!
The guy that gave me my order was having a bad day I think but other than that
I went around 11: 30 pm and there wetr oy 4 people working. The bbque was good. They did forget one item but called them. They mafe it good. Will go bavl yo the Inwood location when back in Dallas.
Great food! Love this location and the history. The staff know what they’re doing and make sure that you get exactly what you ordered, and fast
Kinda sketchy when you walk in. Really good BBQ and the servings are good. Bathrooms aren't the cleanest. Order to go and you'll definitely come back for more.
Effing excellent. Even though I did only try it because it was the only thing open in the area I was at, I did find this to be some of the best barbecue I've had yet.
Great food. Place was not very clean and there were house fly's in the ordering area. We ordered onion rings, sausage, brisket and ribs, all of which was good. I have eaten Texas BBQ only once before and it was very salty. This one's comparably less salty which was good.
There is a reason Sonny Bryan’s has earned their reputation. Their smoked meats are moist and delicious, with a BBQ sauce that has just the right amount of sweetness and tang. Avoid the bathroom, but otherwise the restaurant itself also has a lot of charm.
Since 1910, some 108 years ago Sonny Bryant's BBQ is the Oldest BBQ place in Dallas. Fantastic Onion Rings, good Smoked BBQ, like going back in time.
This sliced brisket was the first in a long time not to come back and bite me! Fresh is best! An historic opportunity started 1910 not to be missed. Fast service. Nothing fancy, just good eating. Fries have a good light crunch and texture, length like steak fries. Grab it on the go to the hospital or Salvation Army or have a seat in classic school desk style seating and meet a friend or two while stepping back in time for a moment.
Very good Bar-b-que, seating is limited, however, it was brought to my attention that there is additional seating area. An enclosed patio, that's really neat, which I took for a separate venue, first time there. Side orders are good as well.
Good food and service. The onion rings have a good texture, crunchy, but the flavor was weak. The Brisket and the Pulled Pork Barbecue were great, and I enjoyed their BBQ Sauce. It's definitely a Texas style, which may not be for everyone. I've enjoyed Carolina BBQ more, but to each his own. Any BBQ that's been smoked well is gonna be good, and this was no exception. Also had the Potato Salad and thought it was fantastic.
