We gave my daughter and her boyfriend surfing lessons for Christmas with Gene! He was simply amazing! So kind, patient and filled with knowledge! They had so much fun! This is the best experience I've ever had on vacation! Gene is a one of a kind guy and an amazing teacher. We were surfing before the hour was even up. I always felt safe while we were out on the waves, and he was super encouraging while instructing us on what we could do to make it even better.
All in all, an incredible experience that I'll never forget! Thank you so much! You're awesome, and I can't wait for the next time I can get out on the waves!

I highly recommend the south padre surfing lessons that Gene does here. He is patient with everyone and does a flat out fantastic job. With my vacation rental management company South Padre Trips I have sent him hundreds of people all delighted over the last 15 plus years. 100% the best surfing lesson you can get on SPI. What is awesome about south padre island is you don't even have to know how to swim it's sand bottom quite shallow. Gene is also a world class lifeguard giving parents that extra little piece of mind too.

Absolutely Amazing! My son, my mom, & I took a lesson and they got all three of us catching waves within minutes. Great instructors that made it easy and enjoyable for all of us. Even let my son play with their dog.

Surf Company gave my family of 3 adults and 5 kids ranging from 5-12 yrs the full experience! They clearly have a passion for what they do and it showed. They were flexible with us when we had to move our surf lessons back a couple of days so we could book another activity that wasn’t offered any other time. We were so appreciative of this accommodation. We rented boards o use and spent 5 hours surfing. It was an absolutely blast and I would recommend this group to everyone!

Got a lesson today with me and my girlfriend and had a great time. It was very easy to book through text message and I would highly recommend. The owner and his son helped get us out on the water super quick and gave great tips along the way.

This family owned and operated company was very accommodating. We decided to rent surf boards one evening for the following day they allowed uo to pick up the boards the night before because of scheduling conflicts. We were very happy with the polite staff that greated us. Everything wasjust perfect. I highly recommend this company.

My husband, my 8 year old daughter, and me all did surf lessons with Gene and Micah. To say that they were amazing is not enough. They were kind, patient, and just so fun! They were both so great with my daughter and totally got on her level and made it fun for her and well all of us. Even when she was cold Gene got her moving by challenging her to a race around the garbage can on the beach to get warm and engaged and of course she loved it. I would highly recommend signing up for a lesson! Do it now!

Outstanding surf lessons. Had myself, son & daughter out for an hour. Rachel was amazing; smiley, happy & having a good time while she showed us the ropes. She & her husband have been in South Padre for 25yrs & are great at what they do. Will definitely be back to rent boards. 5 's.

Rachel is a very talented surf instructor! I enjoyed the lesson and learned quite a bit. She also told me a lot about the rockets - she is a SpaceX nerd and films rocket launches from Boca Chica beach!
