South Side Lions Park reviews
13Had a company Kickball Tournament here at the park.well groomed field and well taken care of facilities. Security was present as well.
This is very relaxing and you can come fish I heard fishing is good but I don't fish I just come and chill it's so beautiful here.
There's a lot I could say about this park. When I was younger I played Pop Warner for The Highland Rockets that experience made great memories for me. Beautiful view of the sky from certain areas. There's still a Great organization for kid there the Highland Warhawks our rivals back when. Still going strong. Two of their teams made it to the Championship yesterday won in one age group won it and Unfortunately the other didn't win. Anyways. As far as the the park on the other side if pecan valley know they've made lots of improvements. Can't say anything because I haven't been in years. I don't consider myself a specialist when it comes to parks.
Excellent park! Baseball field! Sprawling trails! A pool! Lots of space to just walk and think only downfall for me is it closes at 11pm.
Nice quiet part the play zone for the kid is very secluded and nice and easy to get to easy to keep an eye on your child love it
Great park. Sure did someone get shot here awhile back? Yes, but it's got a good track and other light gym equipment to use. Always pretty clean. Just put a cover over the basketball court and there's like 3 baseball fields there.
This is a beautiful dog park. I love that there's shade trees and benches for us humans to sit on. Great asset for the community.
This park is decent, but I would not recommend coming alone, as it doesn't provide the safest feel in general - with regular drunks hanging out in the pavilion daily and suspicious people sitting in parked cars in isolated areas. When you ride your bike around the whole thing it's very uncommon to not see the aforementioned situations.
Came here with my pupper:) there was a good amount of people swimming, there were little leagues going on or something and it was very lively.
I was walking and so we're other people as well as running
It was great.
I took a break to do some workouts with the equipment and there was only 1 person there when I was there so in my opinion, it's pretty peaceful and nice.
Nice place, bring a fishing pole and catch you some catfish. They bite well on hot dogs and shrimp. Nothing big, but you can catch enough to have you a good fish fry. Also good walking trails and overall nice park. A good place to spend a day with the kids and get them out of the house!
A great atmosphere for playing baseball, but two things that would improve the experience;
Q
1. Add netting across our spanning the areas between the fields to keep from getting hot with foul balls and,
2.hire someone to maintain the bathrooms they.need it.
I love the variety in this large park. Playground, lake, dog park, senior center, and so many other things connected by trails.
Great park but swimming pool employees and life guard need better skills. Life guard was filming my sons for some strange reason. And pool doesn't have a grate covering the pool drain.
