Let me start by saying that, as a female, my guard is always up when it comes to car buying, car repairs, home improvements, etc. I've definitely had some bad experiences and/or have felt that I've been taken advantage of.
This was NOT my experience at South Texas Auto Rebuilders! This is the second time I've taken my truck to them (for 2 separate issues). From the owner to the staff, I was treated with kindness and respect! They took the time to thoroughly explain the problem, they always did their best to ease my fears/anxiety, and the costs to fix were very reasonable. (I didn't say "affordable", because the work was extensive. But they also didn't try to "make payroll" for the month just to fix my truck! Very fair pricing and, for that, I am very grateful.)
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SOUTH TEXAS AUTO REBUILDERS FOR ANY OF YOUR CAR CARE NEEDS! And, if you are a woman like me, DEFINITELY use them for your auto repairs. You can tell these guys love their moms and the women in their lives!

Very bad service, they made me wait more than an hour just to see me, 45 minutes for a possible diagnosis. They gave me a supposedly diagnosis”wrooooong”, I think the owners of the company d’not know the type of employees they have.

Great service and great staff! They are very friendly and efficient with getting my car serviced.

They instantly attended an issue that I was having with one of my tires, fast and effective solution was found!

I had multiple scratches and dents on my vehicle, I took my car for an estimate to see how much it would cost and I was honestly amazed on how fair the price was. When I got my car back, I couldn’t even tell there was any damage, it was like the body was brand new. I would 100% come back again.

“Yeah we will go ahead and give you a call back and update”

The amount of times i’ve heard them say that is insane, with every time without fail, never calling back.

Only information i’ve received back on my vehicle is.

“Mechanic is on vacation”
“Call back in 1 week”
“Call back Monday”
“Call back Friday”
“Might take more time”

Being busy is not a problem, I completely understand; however, relaying that information and being transparent with your clients is just as important.

I’m going on week 5 without a vehicle and no information on it as well.

Inspected my Ac System for leaks and found it was low on refrigerant. They were very knowledgeable on the newer 1234yf refrigerant. Service was done in a reasonable amount of time for a random walk-in.

Amazing place i have been having electrical issues for weeks no one could fix it, took it here and they found it instantly highly recommend

Can't complain. Quickest major repairs I've ever seen done and no issues. So far I've had suspension, transmission, and electrical repairs and had my vehicle back in 2-3 days max. I will be back.

I wanted there because My car was transmissions was acting up so I went there and it was good but they took forever to call me like days and went to pick it up because they didn't even touch it because they had a lot vehicle to attend snd I just want to pick up and they charge me 100 something for letting my car there stupid thing for doing that not going back ever and for not letting me know they were going to charge too bye bye

I do not recommend this workshop since they take jobs that they don't even know how to do, and even so I had to pay and my car didn't work. They are a scam do not go!

1. No communication. If I wanted an update on my vehicle, I had to call and hope they answer. Otherwise, they wouldn't call or tell me anything. 2. Slow. It took them 2 weeks just to tell me I needed a new engine. That isn't repairs. That isn't waiting my turn. My car was taken apart on a lift and they just weren't working on it. 3. Expensive. $150 just to look at, $150 for a diagnostic, $1,600 to raise it and look at the engine. $2,000 later and 2 weeks for a diagnostic. Ridiculous. I do not recommend.
