Southlawn Palms Apartments reviews
4 WARNING: Google "Shooting 3800 Faulkner Street " This might help you in deciding before you apply at these apartments of last resort.
The units have 2 positive points. They are one story buildings, there's no one above your unit making noise, the other is they are decent sized rooms, although they are in need of renovation.
It's a very low-end complex.
The bathrooms are NOT handicap compiient, the office is not wheelchair accessible.
Southlawn Palms is one step above being in a homeless shelter. They are not properly maintained.
Some of the ongoing issues they need to address are rat and mice infestation, electrical problems, air conditioners that barely work, mold, ANT INFESTATION, empty units that are not secured, making a hangout for strangers.
There's a brownish green mold that appears around the windows, air conditioning units every winter
There's seems to be a criminal element that loiter on the property, although they are not known to victimize or harass the elderly residents.
Management is not Tennant friendly, they are quick to attempt to intimidate residents with multiple monthly surprise inspections, unjustified housekeeping violations issued for things their lack of maintenance has caused, they are slow to correct city violations such as controlling rodent infestations holes in baseboard and insulating around doors and air conditioners.
Please be aware that you have to purchase your own stove and refrigerator, which in some cases is not made clear before you pay your deposit.
Mixed review on the office staff.
It's definitely a property to move into to keep from being homeless, but it's not a place to live long-term.
Met alot of nice people. But management is unprofessional.rude.and manipulating. Shutem Down
They need to clean up this place. Know that elders, mothers, children's, family's in there. They deserve the best and what they do have as low income
