This place is a joke says brazoria county spca but it depends on where you live in brazoria County

Staff was rude. Was given a sob story to explain the behavior which was an embarrassing display. The cages were filthy. There was pee on the floor randomly (which is understandable but still…) Was told the dog was not available which was a complete LIE (something about a hold time for dogs they just bring in?) to then have another person come in and say it was fine. This place complains about being over crowded but puts 0 effort into making it welcoming for people TO come.

Every person who works here is extremely rude, be humble and grateful we allow you to spend your community service here you criminals lol.

I adopted a dog from there about a month ago. My young son can no longer play in the backyard because the dog nips ay him and has even drawn blood, not to mention the dog is an escape artist. I called this spca to return this dog because of her behavior, even emailed them wanting to return this dog. They did not answer the emails and put me on hold when i ask them can I return the dog. Be careful about using this facility for dog adoption, because if the pet does not work out, you are stuck with it.

The shelter was dirty, the cages were full of fecees and the animals looked misrible.
I met a few dogs with the help of a very sweet young woman who i don't know the name of but other than her and a man who i also don't know the name of the staff was cold and rude.
I adopted a puppy and they made the process hell. Wouldn't let me fill out the paperwork the day of so I had to return, to which they told me the dog is unavailable for adoption (which was untrue).
When I adopted the dog I was *then* made aware of the fact that they wouldn't actually finish any vaccinations of the pet I paid for and that it was 'my job now' even though I was told he would be vaccinated to age.

When I went to pick up the dog days later they told me he was not ready despite having been told he was the day before. They told me i had to go to Freeport to pick him up hours later, and when I was rightfully frustrated by how awful my experience had been so far I was given crocodile tears and a sob story to justify the absolute circus the shelter was and how rude the staff had been.

U will never return to this shelter. Go to angelton if you want to adopt.

A VERY busy, NO KILL shelter. The staff genuinely cares, about all the pets that come thru the doors. Best time to visit is after 12pm. Most of the kennels have been cleaned, dogs walked, floors mopped & swept. Adopt/Foster don't shop! Highly recommend bringing the kids to brighten up a shelter pets life!

They don't care if dogs are left out to freez they are rude to people in need you need to find a hole new staff i have no money my family was willng to drop off dog food our fence is broken cant aford to fix it now we cant keep dogs on proper dog wiers what am i suppose to deal with this if i cant get someone to help not one of these dogs are mine i had volunteered to help as long as they get bad now im stuck withe 4 animals i cant feed or keep warm so you suck spca or the lady in the front desk

I do not recommend to pay the co payment of ten dollars for vaccines or spay or neuter because you will most than likely have to drive in person to get that money back and also when I talked over the phone they were rude and disrespectful to me which was quite shocking to me because I figured being animal lovers and all you would be more professional. What gives them the right to talk to people the way y’all do. Get it together brazoria county Spca. Update: I received a email saying I got my refund back keep in mind I been calling nonstop since they opened at 12 and no answer. How professional is that to not even get as much as a phone call back letting me know I was being refunded. Same goes for lake Jackson Spca, lady was rude when I talked to her as well but at least lake Jackson answered right?

Update your hours. I made a 45 minute drive because it said y'all were open until 5 on Saturday. Incredibly unprofessional.

My son got a dog from there a week ago and it has been sick ever since. Shame on y'all for letting us get him and he's sick.
