I’ve had nothing but positive experiences. Dr. Mary Greer and Elvia are great and I am thankful for my time with austin specialty clinic.

What a great office to have for mental health. I have been seeing a provider for over three years and the whole staff does everything they can for you. I am very pleased with the service at Specialty Clinic of Austin. They come highly recommended.

This was the first time I have ever felt validated by a medical provider. Bria Carey was absolutely phenomenal. She genuinely listened to everything I said, and explained everything to me in depth. She helped me realize why I do certain things, and completely reassured me that I should not be ashamed about my disorder. She also presented me with multiple different treatment options without "pushing" any of them on me. She allowed me to lead and was supportive of my decisions, as well as seemed genuinely interested in following up with me on how I'm doing. I cannot recommend this NP enough. Thank you Bria!

The child Psychologist (Julia Barack) is great but the practice squeezes every dime out of you and wants to schedule sessions for every little thing ($150+). Complete money grabbing practice. Their front desk people are rude and not friendly at all. Very dishonest practice. I would not recommend them.

Extremely unorganized office. I’ve never had a doctor forget about our appointment. Having them send your prescription to the pharmacy is literally pulling teeth and they will say that it has been sent when it has not. These people need to understand that they have people’s mental health in their hands.

The absolute worst patient service that i have ever received in a medical environment. The front desk do not return your calls, messages, even when they ask you to use the “safe patient communication portal”. I had to drive all the way to their clinic just to talk to them. I was pay hundreds of dollars to be seen by the doctor there yet they were not doing their job in return. I came here excepting to be treated like a patient and instead i was treated as though i was at the VA. Even the VA treats their patients better! Furthermore, i was not paid by my employer for being on medical leave because of their lack of care towards documents that are sent to them. Literally the doctor called me and said she had left my documents on her desk for days! Terrible place and I would never recommend this place to anybody with any mental Heath issues, they will only increase them!

They are flexible and easy to work with. They use a convenient app that texts you and reminds you of everything coming up & also where you can reach out to them and they reply quickly. Julia is great and I would highly recommend this clinic.

Dr. Mary Greer is amazing! She is so sweet and attentive and really listened to me during my evaluation, and in every appointment with her since then. Having a psychiatrist that accepts insurance is also a big relief. The location is a little out of the way but they can do most things on video appointments which is really convenient.

This place is TERRIBLE when it comes to scheduling and communication. I put my trust in this staff but they don’t seem to care about frequently making changes to my appointments, with only hours of short notice! This has happened multiple times! I have decided to look for guidance elsewhere and don’t recommend this place to anyone!

Honestly I wish I never came here. When I couldn’t afford to go to my appointment, they charged me late fees and my missed co-pay after I lost my job. Now they are sending $120 dollars to collections for one missed appointment. During a pandemic. They are not looking to treat your mental health, just take your money. If you are seriously considering seeing a new psychiatrist, make sure they aren’t just there to collect the paycheck at the end of the day.

Had an appointment almost a month ago paid for it and everything. Medication was prescribed and a follow up appointment was set two weeks out. I was unable to pick up my prescription because the insurance needed additonal approval from doctor. Now more than a month later after multiple attempts to contact the office I still have nothing they are telling me talk to insurance and insurance is telling me doctor needs to call them. I guess they wont so I gave up.

While I understand the complaints about the office staff, my care with Diego has been utterly fantastic. I have spent YEARS trying to find the cocktail of meds that work best for me, and he gotten me there and has been extremely supportive and knowledgeable about my doses and medications. He is very kind and when I am feeling good he makes our appointments further apart so I am not paying constantly just to check in. He really cares about how I am doing and how my life changes come into play and affect my stress and anxiety. Again, I get the issues with the office staff, it is a "us v them" environment when trying to get through them, but Diego always makes sure I have what I need regardless of what the office staff is doing.

This clinic is amazing! I found the office staff to be very easy to work with, they were all very friendly & made me feel at ease. The billing office was patient with me & worked with my insurance for me. The doctors are super caring & they sent my medicine right over to the pharmacy ReNue & it was ready with-in minutes. Oh & the pharmacy applied a coupon that saved me $250.00 on the medication! I think everyone should use them!

Great place! They got me in within a week or 2 of me calling. The PA was super nice and helpful! I was in the place up north though. So glad I found Specialty Clinic of Austin!

This is the most disorganized medical office I have ever dealt with. Most recently they had me provide my updated insurance in May prior to my last appt, which I did, and at no point did anyone tell me that they didn't take my new insurance. It wasn't until I got an overdue bill the day of my next appt in August (mind you that I never received a bill before the overdue one at all) that I realized they billed my old insurance and when I called them about the issue they said they don't take my new insurance. So, to get my meds refilled, I'll now have to rack up another big bill today, in addition to the last one, during COVID when money is already tight. The attitude of the billing supervisor Hetal was that it wasn't their fault that they didn't see the new insurance, even though I provided it in the exact method they requested it, in advance of my last appt, and it was my responsibility to make sure they were on my insurance not theirs so I still owe the billing amount for last time and today. I love Jolly John, but I can't deal with her office anymore. TERRIBLE.

Awful, impersonal, feels like you are cattle. The building is gigantic, mostly empty. You are welcome by unfriendly receptionists, and told you wait in a cold, sterile waiting room where you are later ushered through an empty hallway to see a physician's assistant. It's a money grab where they churn through as many patients as possible.

This is the WORST most incompetent run office. Dont waste yoyr time trying to get appointment. They are RUDE. Wasted our time after I spent days trying to get through their phone system to get appointment. No respect. If I vould hive them negative stars I would. TERRIBLE!

I read the terrible reviews about this place but decided to give it a go anyway. I was quoted a certain amount once over the phone then the same amount weeks before my appointment. The morning of my appointment (6 am) I get a message from the clinic saying I will owe triple what was erroneously quoted twice. The reception said she forgot the first number of the quote! Mistakes happen of course but the carelessness of notifying me of what is owed hours before my appointment as well as quoting the wrong amount twice speaks volumes about this practice. In the end I am thankful. I will definitely seek treatment elsewhere and steer clear of the impending issues with this practice.
