Spec's Wines, Spirits & Finer Foods, Austin TX

Most of the folks are really awesome & friendly. Booze selection is awesome. It would be nice to have my cigars in stock, though. That has been a problem for awhile.

I KNOW I'm not going to get many points for this post, because it's short, but doesn't everyone like spec's? What's not to like? Food AND liquor samples? C'mon!

I’ve never been impressed with the wine department here. I called and asked if they carried a specific dessert wine and the guy in the wine department was utterly uninterested in helping me. He said they didn’t have it and couldn’t help me with a special order and that H‑E‑B carried it. When I pointed out H‑E‑B definitely do not he said ‘oh then it’s some other store in town. ’ Thanks guy. This is pretty consistent with other times I’ve gone in and asked about particular wines. If you want a good wine selection and/or someone who cares about doing their job well I would recommend the Specs in Sunset Valley or up north off of Mopac.

It's a Spec's, what do you expect? Great large selection, tons of candy, snacks, food. Any type of liquor you could ask for will probably be here. The staff was very friendly and the location is very clean, great visit overall.

Best managed, Best customer service, Best floor layouts and selections. BEST Overall experience every time I shop there.

Good selection of liquor, the staff at this specs has given me some really good recommendations, also the guy working the deli counter is hilarious and will give you samples to try if you ask

Spec's was perfect for our wedding! They helped us plan how much alcohol we needed and gave us suggestions on types of beer and liquor. They delivered for us to multiple locations for our rehearsal dinner and wedding. They were timely and reliable. We were also able to return any unopened and unchilled beer, wine, and liquor! Would choose again.

Specs is classy! There's a great selection of crackers, cheeses, cold cuts, sweets, etc.to pair with your wines inside. I recommend browsing a little on each aisle instead of just grabbing what you think you came for. You might find a new favorite snack! I was pleasantly surprized with pineapple salsa.

We had some help in the wine section and he was super knowledgeable and patient with our questions! We ended up getting a wine that tasted wonderful!

This place not only has s great selection on just about any type of liquor you need, but what really surprised me was their sandwiches. I never thought I would run to a liquor store for lunch, but I am really glad I did. They will surprise you too!

Love this place it has all the liquor and wine and the have samples sometimes too. Excellent prices and military discount too.

This location is slightly ghetto, but the area is up-and-coming so it'll prolly be gentrified soon enough. Specs is specs so you pretty much know what you're getting into.

We don't live in the area anymore, but it was a place we frequently shopped for spirits! Cost was better than other liquor providers that were around us. Excellent variety of wine, food and of course spirit drinks. The best in Austin if I should say so myself! The only liquor store I shopped at in Houston, TX and I'm glad they FINALLY moved to Austin.

A wonderful selection of spirits. And great service that will provide helpful recommendations when you're lost.

They have most of the stuff you're looking for. But wish they had more snack selection if youre looking to have a good time with friends or family.

Great place to get anything you might need for a party. It just sucks don't carry any sparkling wines from Texas.
