Spice Thai Cafe, Allen TX

Just ordered, TomYum Soup taste exactly like a BBQ SAUCE! I’ve never had Thai food with this kind of flavor, I’m really disappointed. The papaya salad was good but they ignored my level of spice requested. Green curry chicken was also good. The bbq/Smokey flavor of the Tom Yum soup is unforgivable, they also used white button mushrooms.

1st time eating here. The best panang curry I have ever had! They put all kinds of veggies. I have tried many great Thai restaurants in California. This panang is out of this world. Thank you I will only order from spice Thai Cafe now that I'm live in texas.

A friend of mine suggested this place to me. This is one of the good Thai food I’ve had. Although they messed up my starters, but I didn’t go back since it was super cold out: D gave us free spring rolls. Had I known earlier, I wouldn’t have ordered another one. Ended up with 8 rolls for 2 people:/ their green and red curry is very good. Could have done with more spice level for a medium spice.

They put a horrible message on my receipt stating that I was trying to get free food because they messed up the order. Don't patronize.

Gahhhhh, can't get enough of this food. For the record, I grew up eating Thai food. My parents love it (introduced me to it) and this place is where all the Thai people in the area go, even other Thai restaurant owners. IT'S LEGITTTT and completely family operated. And I've definitely run into many of them here! Hahaha! The place is small, so I wouldn't recommend it for big parties, perfect for 4 or less and even better for pickup.

My go-to dishes are (there may be menu changes for COVID/economic responses.i don't see some of these listed online - but doesn't mean they wont make it!) :
Chinese broccoli with crispy pork (Chinese Thai style! It's the bombbbb)
Duck curry (on regular menu!)
Duck Kra Pow - duck version of an always good Thai dish (kra pow is a basil dish often made with chicken or pork)
Bla Pacha (a fried fish dish)
Homok (thick curry over a steamed fish)
Gang Som (sour soup with fried fish and a fluffy egg omelet)

Absolutely delicious. I've tried many of their dishes, always so tasty. I truly love Spice Thai Cafe. They are consistently very good!

Asked for spicy, that's what I got! Very good curry with lots of meat and vegetables in a delicious broth. Coconut soup also very good. All for a great lunch special price. Right next to Roman Cucina, go try them out!

My family and I love this place! We are very loyal customers, been coming for years. Best Thai restaurant in Allen! Awesome flavors and quality food! Good portion sizes. The restaurant is very small but family owned. Good prices and they will delivery if you live near by and order $20 or more. The food is just makes your mouth water. We had friends from NY come in town and they even said it’s best Thai food they have ever had!

The food is AWESOME, and the heat is per your choice. I have had the curry and the chicken Rama. Pure deliciousness!

Love the Pad Thai! You can have any degree of heat you want. Very friendly and family run. Been stuck on the same meal so haven't tried anything else.shame on me I guess.but my wife was a little more adventurous and tried a few more and was pleasantly surprised with great flavor. Check it out!

Good food, too expensive.

They are rarely busy and service is so slow. But the waitresses are all real young. They don't know what good service is. Problem with most young people today. Times have changed since I was young. Hope that didn't offend anyone.

This review is for the Asian ppl. They have a Thai menu so get the Thai menu. If you order the papaya salad make sure you get it with fermented crab. The food is amazing and the price is right. Everything is good just try it.

For American: if you want real Thai flavor then order from the Thai menu.

Spice Thai always provides excellent food. They have yet to disappoint! I recommend to all my friends in or visiting Allen.

Huge disappointment. Good mediocre and much too expensive for the low quality. First and last time. I normally apply the 3 strike rule but will not give this place another chance. What a shame.

Very nice small family restaurant. Our family comes here often. Authentic Thai food, always very fresh and delicious!

I ordered on their web site to go. The order was very easy. Arrived within 20 minutes and waited about 2 minutes and got food. Food was hot fresh and tasted good. Spicy shrimp with asparagus and mushrooms and upgraded to fried rice. It was excellent great flavor perfect spice the right size entree. The 4 spring rolls were small but good. The pot stickers are really good. The sauce was a little too sweet and sticky but tasted good.inside the restaurant was kind of tight. It's an L-shaped dining room around the kitchen.

This place was amazing! The inside was tiny but they got us seated right away. I got the combination (chicken, beef, shrimp) flat noodles.it was so good! My fiancé got beef Mongolia and it was great as well! We would definitely recommend trying it out

We placed an online order at 9PM (an hour before they close), and at 11PM came to the conclusion the food wasn’t coming. I understand if we put the order in too late, however the right thing to do would’ve been to call us and let us know so we could’ve made other plans for dinner. We have ordered from them two times in the past, and enjoyed the food, but unfortunately this is unacceptable.
***EDIT***: We contacted them this afternoon about having the money refunded since the card was still run. However it was explained that GrubHub is a third party, not directly affiliated with the business and sometimes things are lost in translation. We decided to place the same order (over the phone this time!), and they didn’t charge us for the add ons. It was delicious and ready in 15 minutes. I do recommend this place, but be wary of ordering through a third party! I recommend calling the restaurant and placing your order this way, as they have proven reliable. Can’t say the same for GrubHub!

Terribly dirty restaurant with stained chairs and filthy floors. Food was below average. We ordered a Panang curry, Pad Thai, basil chicken and sticky rice. Pretty simple and standard Thai fare. The rice was undercooked and the curry watery. The Pad Thai was an undercooked lump of noodles. Wentvwith the ratings but were sorely dissapointed. Gave one star only because the service was decent. Will not visit again.

Great portion, flavor and price on week day lunches. Been going there often and will continue to do that.
