Sport Clips Haircuts of Austin - South Town

I checked in on the app. The wait time kept jumping around then got a text that stylist would be ready in 15 minutes. An hour and 1/2 later still #1 waiting. When I complained after finally getting in a chair I was totally blown off. Store "manager", Alexis basically said too bad, she defended their system. Offered no apology, no understanding of my frustration. Said I wasn't respectful. What about respect for my time wasted? Patricia, my stylist, who dies a good job thought it was no big deal. "Sometimes customers take longer than we think". She was with 1 guy over an hour while I sat there while my wait time kept getting pushed back. I left without a haircut and had to cancel an appointment I had due to Sports Clips totally screwed up system. Don't go to this place. The few dollars saved aren't worth it. (I asked for district manager's number and Alexis gave me her card with no info on her boss.

I got the worst haircut ever at this place! They didn't blend my side hair with my top hair and gave me such a bad and an uneven haircut. The stylist was so rude and wanted to complete my haircut in a few minutes. She treated my hair like a carpet (she used the trimmer like a vaccum cleaner). I could have got hurt! I will NEVER go to this place again. Anyone who comes here should know that they are taking a huge safety risk!

Good haircut, I had been going to great clippers or whatever that other place is called. I would have been better off putting my head under the lawn mower and letting it cut my hair.went to sports clips.cranky and grouchy left with a good haircut feeling better. Thumbs up to this place.

Do not come here near closing time or at all. Alexis cut my hear in less than 10mins. You could tell she was in a hurry to get me out the door. I'm basically bald on the side of my head. Have to wear a hat until my hair grows back. First and last time I come to this location.

I didn’t feel the need to post a public review until now. In early June of this year we brought my boys for their hair cuts. We were leaving out of the country and wanted to take a little off the top and clean up the sides for the boys. My middle son was devastated when he was left with only an inch and a half on the top. His hair was curly and past his chin if you brought it forward. He asked for an inch or two off and he was only left with an inch or two. Now in late December, we continue to come back because there is no other place we can call home. These people here cutting hair are in NO rush to get ANYTHING done. One puts towels in the wash, another SLOWLY sweeps the floor, and when I mean slow, I’ve never seen anything like it. I don’t mean to criticize, but it’s pretty unbelievable. There have been a few guys that have walked out already, I can see why the wait says 163 minutes. If you’re wanting to get in and out, DO NOT COME HERE! This is a full hour commitment, and that’s WITH an appointment. We got here on time and still waited an extra 15 minutes to be seen.

Shame! I’ve been coming to sports clips for years. Many different locations. Checked in online. Showed up early. Me and two other gentlemen waiting in lobby. I was up next next on the order of the waitlist. However they knew the two people behind me. Cut them before me. Waited and then other online check ins started to show up ahead of me. They cut them first. I’ve been now waiting an hour. I have travel the next day and need to get a cut. They don’t follow process and helped their own friends out. Now Inconvenienced a loyal customer. It’s going to be over two hours I’ve been sitting here. Just pitiful.

Update: I do have to say. The stylist I did have was exceptional. Attention to detail was amazing. Customer service on her part was amazing.

Take away for sports clips: don’t let bad employees ruin a customers experience. Make sure to reward the employees that are exceptional and save the day. My stylist saved the overall experience tonight and should get amazing credit for that.

Very nice staff very clean environment make sure you sign up online with their app so you don't have to sit in the waiting room for an hour make sure you get the m v p after you get your haircut they wash it for you

Alexis Arevalo is one of my all time favorite stylist at Sports Clips. When it comes to being an MVP she definitely deserves the title. I have been going to her for quite some time. She is Awesome! Professional, Intuitive, Patient, Listens, and Takes her Time. Best and Foremost im always very happy and impressed with her expertise and ability to make me and my haircut look legit. Before ever going to sports clips it was a struggle to find a stylist that I could stay with for such a long time. But having Alexis as my stylist for 2 years plus has given me a chance to relax and have confidence that when she cuts my hair its always going to be a 100% WIN! Thanks Alexis! Until the next cut!

Great place for a quick and simple haircut, although each location varies based on staff. This location had at least one stylist who wasn't wearing a mask, which may or may not be a deal breaker.

THIS PLACE IS TOO EXPENSIVE. AND THERE NEEDS TO BE SOME SORT OF OPTION TO REQUEST THE FAST HAIRCUT.

Tell me that there is a certain time you stop taking walk ins. Called there said nothing about cut off was there in 5 min. Poor poor service.

I loved the service, Alexis did a great job cutting my hair. I appreciate how thorough she was throughout the haircut. There were only 2 ladies working when I got there, it was a pretty busy day and yet they held positive attitudes even as people walked in at 7 knowing they close at 8. I work at a restaurant so I know how that can feel towards the end of a busy shift. Thank you ladies I appreciate your service

Easy in and out, I checked in online, great cut and experience. Only place I trust in south Austin.

Their app makes booking online very easy with wait times clearly listed. They usually do a great job and this time was no exception, only this time I felt the hairdresser was in a hurry, she blew through my haircut like it was a chore and the faster she does it the quicker she can get back to whatever she preferred to do. Still a great haircut besides that.

Aubrey is the best i showed her a picture of me with the haircut I had, long time ago and it was the first time she ever cut my hair!

Abrey give me one of the best haircuts that I've ever been complimented on by my friends and family and business associates.she was very knowledgeable friendly and direct in regards to being able to easily explain different hairstyles that she was able to figure out in a way that complemented my look and appearance.

This was on my first time visiting and I will definitely come back again.

As usual you have to wear a mask during covid restrictions but they were very accommodating in working around that to get you the best haircut and or beard trim you can get for a reasonable price in Austin

Turn off your Open Sign if your going to turn away customers an hour before closing! Some people have to drive to get to your store and its wrong to turn them away before your actual closing time!

Always a nice experience my stylist has always been Santa she is such pleasant person she make feel at home. Her conversation is enjoyable. She is so sweet.
