Worst customer service. I inherited the solar system when buying the house. They replace the meter on the inverter and did a poor installation job which caused the wires to Arc and fry the system. It’s been 10 days and they still haven’t been out to fix it. Told me 8-10 business days more. This is not customer service

This company is a joke, I been trying to get out of the contract that I got from previous owners with buying the lease so I can remove theirs panels off my roof they told I have to pay the all left payment of the lease contract and the current value even though I will Owen panels with $4000 Fee at end of lease
They trying to hit with 25thousand market value for this garbage system
And ideas or lawyers that can help?

Run, do not walk away from this terrible company. Every single interaction with them is a terrible experience. The worst customer service of any company I have ever dealt with in my entire life. Almost cost us the purchase of a home because of their incompetence. In hindsight, almost wish we didn’t purchase because now we have to deal with this company. And it never gets better. They randomly stopped our automatic payments, and good luck getting in touch with anybody to fix it. Seriously, I cannot stress enough how awful this company is.

Predatory billing practices make it impossible to pay your bill correctly, even if you wait over an hour on hold every month to ensure you are paying the correct amount. Spruce Power has now reported me to the credit agencies for missing a payment in March while I have proof that I have paid the bill as soon as I could get ahold of someone. They will not call you back when you call in and they say they will call you back.

I had to upgrade my electrical service from 100amps to 200amps and my electrician disconnected the bite taps that go to my solar. Mind you, I am leasing these through this awful company. I sent emails and they had me fill out a form to find a subcontractor to come and reconnect my solar to the new 200amp service. After doing so, customer service informed me that I was responsible for this even though they are leased. Needless to say, after 3 follow up emails, no one replied back and after calling customer service, they could not even tell me which bite taps were needed. This is the worst company! I wish I never got these panels! I highly recommend you find someone else if you are interested in doing solar panels! I wish there was a negative star rating!

Absolute thieves. There are so many hidden fees you can't even imagine. Just wait until you need to get a new loan on your house. They want an insane amount of money just to send a form.

The worst. Grossly incompetent. I’m not sure how they even still exist. One billing nightmare after another. I pay, they cash my check, they don’t record the payment. They make false frivolous reports to the credit bureaus. Disgusting, disgraceful, incompetent, negligent, thieves.

I would not go with this company again. It took over a year to get non working part replaced. Now things changed and my monitor is not showing me the production. Over 6 months to find out yesterday that will not be available because I pay once a year. Have called several time and emailed to have them send me a picture of the production and told it will be 3 to 5 working days and last was 2 months ago. I even talked with a supervisor and nothing. Very stressful. The people I talk to are polite but company gets an F. I had to put one star in order to post, should be Zero.

An absolute nightmare. Can’t get a call back or anyone with authority to contact me. Trying to buy out lease to resolve this and still won’t contact me.

Horrible, non-existent customer service. They would rather let someone LOSE their house than just provide the paperwork the title and mortgage loan companies needed to close a loan. And this is with 30+ days notice and multiple requests from the customer/homeowner, title company, mortgage loan officer.

By far- the worst solar company ever! Stay away from them as far away as you only can. They didn’t call back my son (he called them 3 times and each time, after waiting for a 20-30 mins- it is on his phone record- nobody called him back! Today, I called 3 times, the first time they hang up on me!
It is unbelievable what they are doing. They sent my son an email today (only after I called them twice), with the previous owners address in Florida so now I know where they live and will visit them to say “hi”. It is very close to my mother’s town. The previous owners didn’t want us to know where they are relocating but- thanks to Spruce- now, we do. My husband is a renowned lawyer in Ct and we will sue the Spruce separately from the class action that already have. I would have never bought the house if I knew who I am dealing with. Stay as far away from them, as you only can!

6-16-23 UPDATE: I called Spruce Power and the agent said that my refund was under "REVIEW" not sure what that means. They said they had no timeline for me to get reimbursed the monied that are owed to me. I told the agent that I wanted to speak to a manager, she said that none was available, but they someone would call me back. I told them that I have been waiting for almost two months and my refund check is still pending. She said that there was noting that she could do. I told her that I would wait as long as I needed to to speak to a supervisor, she said that there were none available and I told her that I would wait.she said that she was going to let me go and then hung up the phone without resolution to my issue. Is anyone with any power available at Spruce Power to personally resolve my refund issue? Please reach out to me.

6-1-2023 Spruce Power has over collected $7,000 from me (this is not a typo) due to an oversite on their billing system. They have credited my account this amount. I have requested a reimbursement for the monies that is owed to me, but they cant seem to send me the check and have no time line on when when they will be able to do do. Please Spruce Power, make my account right and send me the monies that you owe me.

I would love to not make it a 1 star. THis company is horrible. I am set up for automatic payment and they never took the money out. So i have to call them and good luck witht that. This is the worst company ever. They need to be sued.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Our panels haven't been functioning since we moved in and despite calling and emailing time and time again, the company does not respond besides an email message that is obviously copied and pasted. They say they don't have technicians in the area so they will have to get a partner company to fix it. If you don't have technicians that can get to the area, don't sell in that area.

Prospective Customers: IF YOU'RE THINKING ABOUT SOLAR, STAY AWAY FROM SPRUCE POWER. We are having the same experience as so many customers in other reviews. Our energy company let us know that our panels aren't producing any power over 18 months ago, so that's when we first started to resolve it with Spruce. It is still ongoing and the panels are still not working. They were telling us the meter is "offline" so they can't be sure they're not producing, but they sure did send us the bill with an "amount of energy used" every month and call us whenever the payment is late. They often threaten sending our payments to collections even though they are not even providing the service we were paying for. I asked them how they know how much to charge us if the meter is "offline" and they said the graph on the bill is just an estimate. The finally fixed the meter one year later, but now we just have proof the panels aren't working and still get a bill every month with no appointment to get them fixed, no ETA, no emails back besides "we'll let you know. " Their contract states that they will keep their equipment running which is just one of the many things that should be happening that is not. Horrible company that has truly wasted so much of our time and money.

These people are complete scammers. I received 4 past due bills from them for 1. An account I dont have with them 2. For solar I have never had. I was told in Feb of 2023 by their litigation department that they send letters out to everyone with the same name in the city where the person lives. That and the letters are threatening litigation. I reside in CALIFORNIA. I am filing a complaint with the CA AG and the TX AG. I strongly recommend if you're receiving the same fake bills to do the same. And if you're considering getting services with them, I'd think deeply first.

Absolute worst company I have ever dealt with, in my life. Bought a house 3 years ago and took over the lease and has been nothing but trouble since. We have been overcharged, contradicted with every employee, and asked multiple times to speak to a supervisor on multiple different days and times and not once has one been available. We are “ensured” that one will reach out, with no action for them reaching out, ever. We get a random bill in the mail every 4-5 months for amounts that can’t be explained over the phone apparently. I wish I could’ve given a 0 star.
