Star Cinema Grill, Friendswood TX

I really like Star Cinema. The food is good and the seats are comfortable. The theaters are on the smaller size but it’s a good cozy feeling. I wouldn’t come for a big blockbuster movie where you want great sound and a huge screen but for a regular movie night this place is great.

I had a great experience here. We caught a weekday showing of Dungeons and Dragons. The theater was not crowded at all. It’s best to get there a little bit before your movie so you can place your order from inside the theater before the movie starts. We ate the Love me Tenders and Chicken Run. The food was great. Also, the free drink refills are a plus!

Watch John Wick 4 and the theater was hot. Told an employee about the lack of A/C and he just rolled his eyes, said okay, and walked away. In a packed theater there should be no reason why the A/C was not working. Completely unacceptable.

Loved the service from Sydney. She was very bubbly and extremely accommodating. Will definitely visit again just for the service!

AMAZING FOOD. Like seriously, I would come here just to eat dinner. Not even watch the movie. Lol Their food is really outstanding and what could be better than Frozen Vanilla Jack & Cokes? !

Beautiful place with comfortable seating and tables. I enjoy the ambience, but I was not happy with the quality of the food or the service experience. I would love to see an option for pre-ordering food before you take your seat.

I did not enjoy having the staff kneel next to me during the movie - it felt awkward, and I avoided using the call button when we needed something. The staff is very professional, prompt, and kind; however, I prefer to have less up-close-and-personal service.

Also, the food was priced at a premium, but the quality was low for our nachos and popcorn with specialty seasoning. The popcorn was cold and over-salty, in my opinion. The special seasoning comes in cup that you sprinkle on top, which makes it all fall to the bottom of the bowl. Overall, it was not worth the extra cost for the premium seating and nice environment, in my opinion. I would go back, but will not be ordering food or beverages.

They wouldn't let me in with a soda I purchased at the mall. They wanted their two bucks for a drink soooooo bad. So I just told them to refund my ticket. Corporate greed. You want my two bucks so bad for a drink now you don't get the 10 bucks I spent on the ticket. I can go up the road and sneak into AMC 30 for free like I've been doing since I was 16. Late stage capitalism man.

This was our first time visiting Star Cinema Grill and we were thoroughly impressed! First off, highly highly recommend pod seats! It offers a private and intimate moving watching experience, complimentary blanket, and unlimited popcorn! It is pricy but worth it. The staff was friendly and prompt, our tables were a little dirty and could be cleaned better but that didn’t effect our experience of the movie!

Not a very good experience this time around. I don't think air conditioning was on. I was very uncomfortable and constantly fanning myself to try and keep cool. The large popcorn was a medium bowl for $9 bucks is a rip off. I ordered a large Icee that barely went past lid. Purpose of domed lid is to fill cup to top. Saw John Wick 4 which was amazing but could not truly enjoy it because I was constantly fanning myself and wiping sweat from brow.

I went to see new Guardians of Galaxy movie in 3d on 5/6/23. The atmosphere is perfect for family or date night. Deedee was great, always showed up right after we called for her. I was confused about my ticket called back next day and was explained and I thought the phone attendant was very nice. Thanks guys for making my first time awesome.

Great place! Chicken tenders are my favorite! A bit pricey, so I will usually go to the regular movie theater. The chairs need some attention. The heating feature sometimes work, mostly not. Some seats don't move back at all. I think they should have bigger bowls for the popcorn, having to call for refills more frequently because they're so small. If the food was a bit cheaper, I would go more often to this theater.

Never had a bad experience here. It's made for kids and adults. I LOVE that I can order a drink at the bar and take it with me inside the theater. The premier box seats are amazing (they come with blankets, reclining chairs, heated and cooled) and well worth it. And let me not forget the AWESOME FOOD! Just go and see for yourself, you won't be disappointed!

Good horrible for price drinks are very watered down don't buy liquor drinks but vip seats are worth price but they NEVER GIVE U FREE POPCORN that comes with your ticket
