When your child is sick no matter what the severity is you want quick and fast service. We found ourselves at STAT emergency and everyone was so professional and helpful including the doctor who ordered the test needed to rule out problems and gave pain medication to my child. Thank you Dr. A chia one and entire over night staff!
A special thank you to Nurse Letty who comforted my child during every medication given and IV started. Also for comforting mom.
The receptionist named Leticia who went above and beyond to make sure we had access to my child’s records before we left and then went the extra mile to not only help me set up mine but printed out and handed me the visit from the year before that I was inquiring about. That was above and beyond in my book.
In an emergency in the middle of the night? STAT Emergency in Eagle Pass is where to go. From walking in to walking out they treat you like family.

Receptionist had no criteria. Had a family emergency and was told to be outside while my family needed me there, the nurse had to be the one to call me. Receptionist wanted to call the cops.

If i could review a 0 i would but Dr. Jasomb or whatever is the worst! No patience whatsoever! No patient hospitality.disregarded my moms symptoms and acted as if she was a junkie looking for meds! Terrible doctor.

WORST MEDICAL EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE.
About a year ago, around May or June or 2022 I had already gone to a few urgent care centers in that week in Houston, Tx. None of them were able to help me at the time other than giving me steroids which seemed to stop all the pain/symptoms for a few hours before starting up again and had come to the conclusion that I was having some sort of allergic reaction to something in my home. Now, I am originally from Eagle Pass, Tx so I decided to go visit my family and have my house professionally cleaned and maybe see a doctor in Piedras. I immediately drove over to Eagle Pass as to not expose myself to whatever might have been giving me that reaction but could not make it through the night as when I got home, my face started swelling, throat closed so tight I could barely speak, the WORST pain i’ve ever felt in my LIFE coming from my chest/stomach, burning sensations all over my body, etc, etc. So, of course I head to this urgent care to see if maybe they can help me make it through the night before I saw an actual clinic/doctor in the morning. I explained to them my experiences throughout the entire week/showed them all the documents/prescriptions/etc, and very calmly explained that I was extreme pain and I knew they likely would not be able to figure out the issue so I was going to a clinic in the morning anyways but I absolutely could not stand the pain I was in. The head doctor as well as all of the younger staff who were assisting him (literally people I recognized from high school, which you’d think would be a nice sign) looked at me the entire time as if I was lying and questioned me several times if I was on drugs or just wanted drugs even after providing ALL documentation and literally not even being able to speak or breathe even. I tried to keep in mind that at the time I was a 21 year old man and I do have a few tattoos and piercings but that is absolutely NO excuse for the way I was treated. I calmly and nicely explained time and time again that I felt like I was being ignored and explained countless times what my experience had been throughout the week and that I would just like some help to make it through the night. The doctor would leave for hours at a time and would do tests in between (i.e. Checking to see if my throat was swollen) and would repeatedly just laugh at me with the younger assistants beside him and would tell me there was nothing wrong. After HOURS of waiting I finally decided to stop being so nice and still calmly but sternly repeated that I once again just needed help to make it til morning before a specialist could figure out what kind of help I needed. They then accused me of being aggressive and gave FINALLY gave me what i’m assuming was a sleeping medication to “calm down” which they ironically enough refused to do earlier in the night because they were convinced I was a drug addict. After that entire dispute, I woke up finally feeling temporary relief, very annoyed but thanked the staff, checked out and went to Piedras to see a men’s health specialist. I wish I was joking when I say that within FIVE MINUTES! The doctor in Piedras told me I was experiencing a SEVERE UTI due to other underlying health problems I was unaware about before. I am now in a treatment plan that will last a few years due to a multitude of reasons as I am prone to UTI’s now and have to constantly take care of my liver, bladder, etc, etc, so I constantly think about this experience ESPECIALLY when I still receive bills in the mail over it. The worst part is that when my doctor heard what I went through he mentioned that I LITERALLY COULD HAVE DIED! I WAS GOING INTO ANAPHYLACTIC SHOCK BECAUSE THE INFECTION HAD SPREAD TO MY CHEST. I tend to be a non-confrontational person as I have a learning disorder as well as diagnosed PTSD and they took advantage of me and laughed in my face and could have KILLED ME. PLEASE BE WARY. If I wasn’t so shaken up by the experience at the time I would’ve done way more. There’s much more I could say but I have already hit the character limit.

Every other time I've gone, staff is awesome and care is great. Went in the other night for abdominal pain and got Dr Rene. No patience. He'd ask a question and before I finished my answer, he'd go to the next question. I was already stressed out that day, and he told me rudely "you know we aren't going to figure this out in one night? ". He never listened with his stethoscope, hardly did assessment, was in and out of the room as quickly as can be, and it wasn't busy that night. He was a bit arrogant. I cried most of the time I was there. This is dangerous and I'll tell you why. If another person comes in with serious symptoms and he acts like that, they won't talk to him, they won't give all the information that is needed, and something serious could be missed. Another time I was there, there was a female doctor with a hurt arm. She was rushing between all the rooms to make sure everyone was taken care of, and still had patience. Now that's a doctor.

Walked in and was immediately attended to. The staff was amazing, super professional ad polite. The nurses immediately found me a room and attended to my issues. After the Doctor walked in, sat down and explained to me the findings, game me some advise and recommended some treatment and medications. Highly recommend this place. I was in and out in a couple of hours.

Great hospital! Within minutes of arriving and filling out forms I was preped for sutures right away, took less than 40 min and I was on my way. Great Doctor, Great RNs and receptionist. They did what Fort Duncan Medical Center ER couldn't do in 4hrs while bleeding out in the lobby.
Thank you STAT Specialty Hospital!
