Staybridge Suites Amarillo-Western Crossing, an IHG Hotel

We have stayed here before and have been pleased! This stay was not good, the room was good as far as room but the kitchen was not furnished. No teaspoons only one coffee cup, and there was two of us they brought us a coffee cup a soon as we called when we noticed first thing in the morning at 6 AM. The bed linens were dirty, especially the pillowcase on the right side of the bed still had mascara on it did not look like it had been washed. The bed was very uncomfortable. This is not at all like the last day so if you have a choice don’t use 323.

This is the worst staybridge I have ever been to. The hvac doesn't even work, blowing out cold air in the middle of winter.

We were just driving through on our way back to Colorado… Brittney was super helpful and made our stay more enjoyable! We will be back

I always like to have a quality experience when on the road. With that being said, the stay was okay. Room service skipped our room two days in a row. The floors were filthy and sticky, coffee pot was filthy, and furniture was damaged. The beds were comfortable but we had to go down and get sheets for pull out bed and towels. Maybe they were short staffed but that wasn't conveyed at check in. Breakfast was decent, but you can only eat powdered eggs once or twice.

Very nice and clean hotel! The room was very big and had a cozy bed. I docked off one star since there wasn’t much food option for the breakfast but the place was very good!

Great experience. Came in around 10pm, the gentleman at the front desk was awesome, professional, respectful and pleased us during our stay. Great customer service

The staff was friendly, check in was easy, breakfast available in the morning, and near some food and restaurants.

Downsides were the rooms. Not very clean; stale smell in the kitchen area, stains on the walls and back of the door in the bathroom, and when taking a bath saw ants crawling on the ledge of the tub. All avoidable things. Tough when you can’t relax in your hotel room after a long drive without putting a bed sheet on the couch and cleaning the bathroom.

I stay at IHG hotels approximately 4 to 5 months out of the year. This location was not maintained. I had to have the shower curtain bar installed correctly so it wouldn't fall. They didn't have complimentary toiletries. Even the billing for my room was wrong and I had to correct the details with the front desk staff that didn't have a grasp on using the hotels computers. The business office was out of use. Smokers were allowed to stand at the front door so guests had to walk thru their smoke to enter and exit the lobby.

1st room we were put in the toilet didn't flush on the 4th floor. Then we were moved to the 3rd floor and the bed was dirty. Then we moved to the second floor and it was better. We went to the pool where i stepped on an earring and it went through the bottom of my foot, fell and bruised my leg. Came upstairs to clean it off and there was no soap. Hotel did not have bandaids or a first aid kit. It was a rough day.

Tammy the manager was a great help & did an excellent job of giving us information & booking us. Would definitely stay there again!

Great sized room for a family of 4, comfortable beds. Could have used more towels. Sunday morning the breakfast was going to be delayed, but an employee by the name of David started cooking breakfast and made sure everything was available. David was very friendly and accommodating.

Room furniture is worn and tattered. Common area furniture also looks old.
Beds are okay.
Breakfast was not great. I think they were training in a new food service manager as she as supposed to be getting food ready. Sausage was very salty. Eggs were nice. Tea selection was lacking. There was not cut fresh fruit.

1 of the beds was wet with what smelled to be urine. Staff did nothing to resolve issue. They would not move us, provide a new mattress or even offer roll away bed. On site manager in the morning was disrespectful and condescending, but said she would have senior management call us, which they never did and have not offered a discount. Complete lack of understanding of the concept of hospitality. The room was reserved 3 months in advance to ensure our large family had comfortable accommodations on a long road trip. Will close my account with IHG and stay with BW or Wyndham chains in the future if this is not resolved. I normally let small things slide without complaint, but the attitude of the staff was unacceptable.

I stay in a lot of hotels across the country and this is my best experience in the last few years! The staff is super friendly, especially the red headed guy who checked us in

This was our last hotel stay on our roadtrip from Canada to Texas, so needless to say we stayed in quite a few hotels. I have to say that this was one of the worst. It was dirty in every possible way! Every upholstered piece of furniture was stained or ripped, every corner in the hallways was piled with some kind of dirt. From walls to curtains, to hair in the tub- it was all bad. I can’t believe that Staybridge has their name associated with this place. Very disappointing
