Staybridge Suites Pecos, an IHG Hotel reviews
12 We are traveling and decided to stop in Pecos Texas, at the Staybridge Hotel. The room was stuffy and hot. The AC clearly was not working windows were sealed shut. We ended up having to move to another room. It was hot and stuffy. No one rested well, which was what we were needing. At breakfast- we arrived at 930- the main foods such as bacon.and eggs were being pulled up and basically toast and oatmeal were available- and very little of that! The rooms were clean- ish but not fantastic.
Would NOT recommend.
Don't like to be negative- so one positive they had a laundry area that was free to use. It was mediocre at best. But it was functional.
Again overall- big fat no.
Hotel with a lot of human quality and low prices. It has a swimming pool, gym, laundry is free for guests and has breakfast from Monday to Sunday and also has happy hour on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Affordable prices for all, its rooms are very clean and comfortable. There are 3 types of rooms.
Thank you for keeping my stay great
Thank you for the great housekeeping
Thank you for the wonderful dinner
Awesome room! Separate bed room with TV, living room with TV, breakfast bar, stove, sink and full size fridge. Dinner with beer and wine was awesome. Breakfast was great as well. Best place I've ever stayed here in Pecos!
This turned out to be a good hotel and a nice stay. We got a 1 bedroom suite. There is free breakfast every morning and a free happy hour (aka dinner) on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. There is a nice indoor swimming pool. Only issue was that nobody told us the swimming pool is closed on Mondays for maintenance.
It's a hotel that appears nice but when you really start paying attention, it's built as cheap as possible. Only one elevator worked and you never knew which one it'd be. The small one dropped a few feet with us on it on one occasion and sounded like they were gonna fall apart. One positive thing was the woman upfront was good at her job.
Staybridge Suites Pecos has everything. Rooms have living rooms and kitchens, which is perfect if you plan on staying for a few days. Clean rooms, comfy beds, indoor pool, fitness room, laundry and storage rooms, a "convenience store", great breakfast, and the staff is made up of the friendliest people in Pecos!
The rooms are nice but the food and drinks downstairs monday threw wednesday are a joke. Theres an old lady that ask for your room number then writes down what you get to eat and then demands she poor your beer or wine. The beer cups are maybe a 3oz cup and the plate they give you for food is a tiny saucer plate. I stay in IHG hotels 250 days a year and this is the only staybridge that is this strict with food and beverages! With the price they charge for the rooms there is no need for the restrictions for whats spoused to be a "social hour. " The Odessa staybridge 45 minutes east on I20 will treat you 10x better and wont bird dog you while you try to enjoy a meal.
Always has been and always will be my number one option every time I am in Pecos, TX. The staff are phenomenal.
Disgusting gym! The gym was horrible! There was a leak from above as it damaged the ceiling tiles, walls, wall decor and flooring. Staff didn’t seem to care as they were notified of the issues. Also, no available disinfectant to wipe down equipment. No hamper was available for towels so people would just throw them on the floor.
Lack of hot water every day was a little frustrating, but the rooms were nice. They only gave you enough towels to last till the next service, so if something happend youll have to goto the desk or handle it on your own. The towels were also rough and you should bring your own toilet paper.
The elevators constantly had problems especially the third floor and one of them only worked for about a day then was back under maintenance.
The free breakfast was nice but bland, as it is for most hotels.
There is a supermarket located right next to it as well as a burger King and a couple gas stations. All withing walking distance.
The lack of hot water is what really frustrated me the most though as I do not enjoy cold showers.
Another great experience at an IHG hotel! Shout out to Alejandra and Daisy for their incredible hospitality. It’s relieving to know there’s a chain like this with a clear and welcoming pet policy (in locations that permit them). Being on a long cross-country roadtrip, to know that I’m ending a long day of driving with my dog at a place with such reliable quality and service is a relief.
