Steele Oral Surgery, Coppell TX

I was referred to Dr. Steele by Dr. Kuhre at Cornerstone Dental earlier this year to have my wisdom teeth removed. Dr. Steele and his staff were incredibly kind and I had a great experience. I didn’t have any issues at all. Not even a bruise from the IV! The whole process was easy, from getting an appointment for a consult to scheduling my surgery. They were very flexible with my work schedule so I could have a good amount of recovery time. Dr. Steele even called me after my procedure to check in on me to see how I was recovering. Dr. Steele also did a really good job numbing up my mouth which really helped to prevent pain and it lasted well into the evening. I could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you Dr. Steele and thank you to his team!

I had a traumatic and painful experience with this doctor.

I took my 5 year old who unfortunately had cavities between 6 of his teeth (I didn’t know I was supposed to floss and we brushed religiously). I was referred by my adult dentist who I really trust.

This office doesn’t allow you to go back with the kid for the exam. After the exam, the nurse was explaining to me the various options to treat the cavities. I asked to see the doctor since I’d rather hear it from the doctor. This was red flag number one that the doctor did not even bother to see/talk to me without my request.

On the day of the first procedure they took him back for 2.5 hours. He did well. On the second procedure a month later, which also lasted 2.5 hours the doctor did not even talk to me or update me afterwards. The nurse just said you’re all set and handed me my crying kid. I asked to speak to the doctor. The nurse asked, why? I said because they worked on my kid for 2.5 hours and I’d like to know how it went. The doctor had a terrible attitude. I asked her how the procedure went and mentioned he’s crying. She berated me, stating that she knows what she’s doing. I was shocked. I told her I’m not questioning you I’m just asking since my child is crying. She then said “don’t buy into his drama”.

She said “don’t buy into his drama” in response to my crying 5 year old that she just operated on for 2.5 hours and did a root canal, crown and filling? The lack of compassion and respect was astonishing. I couldn’t believe my eyes and ears. I would never let this woman touch my child ever again. Also I truly believe there was racism and Islamophobia involved and she needs training in implicit bias. I doubt she would’ve spoken that way to someone that is not a person or color. So if you are a person of color protect your child and don’t come here.

It’s ridiculous to spend thousands at her office and be treated that way. Also the dental work she did was unsuccessful and the tooth with the root canal and crown had to be extracted due to an abscess forming.

I was referred to Steele Dental and had to wait several weeks to get an appointment, it was the end of the year. I come in and see Dr Steele who spent time with me and answered questions. There was some confusion on communication with costs with office staff that caused some anxiety.

Now I see the comments below from Steele Dental and this makes sense but I wish it could of been communicated to me directly.

Would highly recommend Dr. Steele. My daughter had to have several teeth removed & he did a great job making her (and me) feel comfortable. His staff is also great & the office is very nice!
