What a charming and Sweet Space! The Food is Amazing, Service is Stellar!
Dining here supports a Local Small Business my Favorite thing to do! I see Steves being on My list of go 2 when I am in Brownwood!

This spot is an absolute gem. I came in Tuesday around noon and there wasn’t any space for seating at the time but thankfully they have a beautiful outdoor seating/waiting area where there’s flowers surrounding you and music playing so I just read my book, enjoying the ambiance. That being said, the restaurant is small and there are only 3 tables that sits 2 customers and one table that sits 4 customers so just a heads up, you might have to wait a little unless you arrive early or get lucky (heads up, they do not take reservations).

My friend and I were seated 15 minutes later and I have to start off by saying that the interior is adorable. There’s so many adorable knick knacks and decorations making the space feel very cozy. The cash register area sells numerous items including teas, coffee, sauces, seasonings, etc. As for the service, Steve was very welcoming and made my friend and I’s experience here comfortable.

I ordered the Spurlock Club with Chippotle sauce and my friend ordered Tina’s Tuna Melt. Each sandwich comes with chips and your choice of Soup of the Day or Black Beans & Rice.
Usually, I don’t get very excited to try sandwiches but I’m a fan after visiting here. This spot does not skimp out on their portions- the sandwich was packed with ham & turkey slices, generous on the avocado spread and veggies, and with the toasted Ciabatta bread & chipotle mayo, everything came together perfectly. Their tomato soup was creamy and rich which made it perfect for me to dip the sandwich in.

I’m so happy to have finally tried this spot out since all my friends (who are Brownwood locals) have been telling me about Steve’s Market and Deli for a while and I can totally see why now.

This place is AWESOME! The food is AMAZING! The service is OUTSTANDING! Steve seems like a REALLY good guy!

Great little deli in Brownwood that has some awesome sandwiches and spreads. Sauces are amazing there.

Hidden gem! The food is fabulous, the atmosphere unique. Chicken salad sandwich and soup is my favorite but everything I've tried is good, including the desserts!

We ate here years ago and declared it to be the best sandwiches and split pea soup we’ve ever had. This time, we made a special weekend trip to Brownwood just so we could eat at Steves’.
We wondered…. What if it isn’t good any more? What if we don’t like it as much as before?
After one bite, we were relieved. Still delicious! Still the best split pea soup and sandwiches we’ve ever had! Worth the special trip!
The owners and decor are great, too.
