Stockyard Bar BQ, Houston TX

The food wasn't so good, as well as the customer service was terrible as well. Had some mac and cheese and just seemed old and flavorless if I could say anything good it would be that their barb-q sauce was okay. Will not be coming back to this place again

I gave it 5 stars because I like the place. The service was good but I had items missing from my order and was told I had to go through the web site to get a refund since I didn't want to drive back and get a replacement. Long story short. I never got the refund. Food is very good though.

My favorite BBQ spot in Houston so far, food is consistently good, usually order to go and it's painless. Spicy BBQ is amazing.

Our first visiting and we was very Pleased with the food we ordered Very Very Moist Chicken, Brisket cooked to Perfection, Pork Ribs was also Tender. My 3 year is all ready asking when are we going back to the Bar BQ Pit Place? He was happy that the food was delicious! We Will Be Back and Great Customer Service!

As someone who originally hated turkey and hence dreaded thanksgiving dinner, stockyard bar BQ completely flipped my world around. The turkey was so juicy and packed with flavor. So good even that you look forward to eating the leftovers. We will order all our Thanksgiving Day dinners from Stockyard from here on out. Save the time and hassle, and have a truly AMAZING dinner!

It is a good place I ate there but the bbq isn’t the best and I felt nauseated I might be wrong but the food was definitely not the best! No lies I’m very particular nothing against them at all great place but improvement is massively required

I ordered the ribs, macaroni, “dirty rice” and bread. The ribs were very tender but had no flavor and the barbecue sauce was disgusting so it didn’t help with flavor. The macaroni wasn’t that good. I could do better. The “dirty rice” wasn’t even dirty rice.it was more like jambalaya and there was no ground meat nor shrimp in the rice.not good at all and the bread was cornbread which I didn’t even know until I bit into it. I would have said no to it if I known it was cornbread because I don’t like cornbread. And it didn’t even have flavor to that.like what. I could have saved my $17. I’m never going back there. Hire better cooks that can season food correctly. I really don’t understand how they have good rating. Fooled me!

I would have given this place less then one star if i could this is the second time walking out of the westheimer location absolute horrible service makes you not even want to spend your money while i love BBQ the way the man in there was very nasty and rude when asking about the menu he was dismissive and seemed as if he didnt want to help and was too busy trying to get off in conclusion i didnt give my business you dont treat customers like that.

I’ve been to this place 3 times now, and omg the potato salad is so good! I crave for it. The employees are nice. The restaurant is clean.

Sorely disappointed after trusting the good reviews. If it makes any difference, I got carryout around 7. The ribs were the only decent thing. The mac and cheese was overcooked and gritty, and the sausage was just edible. The brisket was tragically bland and the sauce hardly saved it. The prices seem standard for barbecue in the area but I don’t think it’s worth trying again.

My favorite plate is the Haystack Fries. It never disappoints me. It's so good! The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because it's never all the way consistent with texture and I dont think most of the items are made from scratch. I honestly dont even think the bbq is actually smoked in a pit. Nevertheless, the meat is always tasty. Not the best BBQ in Houston but in my top favs.

COCKROACHES! In and around food. Employees are NOT friendly, but maybe one. Some have even been heavily drunk while serving me! Other times i’ve seen them hate on gays and black people. Such DISCRIMINATORS. The food is good, but it smells better than it tastes.

Horrible Horrible! Food was tasteless not sure if it was baked but i know for sure it wasn't smoked sides seemed a few days old greasy and watery im soo upset and disappointed

Staff is super friendly and have the best recommendations. We’re new to Texas so I always go with what is recommended from the staff: brisket, ribs and Mac n cheese! Sooo delicious. Tender, juicy and fall off the bone meat! The smoked chicken is also SO juicy. Also, their original homemade sauce is the bomb.

If you can’t finish your food they have take out containers ;) I’m definitely coming here again!

I had the 2 meat platter. I selected brisket & dry ribs. Both were smoked well and very tender as nd easy to eat. Ieould definitely go there again. They offer 2 bbq sauces original and spicy. The original is pretty good and the spicy is to me somewhat better and it does have a bit of burn to it but not overpowering.
