Stokes Park reviews
20This was my first time here. I came with my son and Daughter in-law. Such a beautiful spot
They need to paint over all the graffiti above the falls people need to do their poisons at home people need to keep their dogs on leashes but when you can carve yourself out a tiny spot it's a nice place to be
This place is so beautiful the water is amazing and oh I love to see the little turtles when their sunbathing out there on the branch it's just such a nice and peaceful place to be when the weather is you know about 75 that's perfect
I loved my experience at Stokes Park, I had a great time with my dad and one of my friends!
It's definitely a nice place to go, but it's small. The river has a good current, and there are smaller offshoots that are good for kids. But overall, I wouldn't say it's a "must see. "
For adults, it's more fun if you bring your tubes and float the river.
No falls which We were sad about. But overall a decent place to be. FYI careful about strong current and where it's deep could be dangerous for kiddos.
Lots of places to set in easily. Many little secluded outcroppings to set up your own little space.
Short little trail that runs along the side of the river closest to the road. At one spot there was a sign on the other side that read "no trespassing". However there were to people posted up underneath it hunting for rocks, I never tried to get over there to that side because it was not as maintained as the park side. Lots of shade trees over the little chill spots that had been established (which were all occupied. So we just hung out travel hammocks in branches that were over hanging the water and dangled my feet in the river. Turned out to be probably the coolest spot in my opinion. Parking had two handicap and maybe 10 regular shmegular spots. I had to find a spot in the apartments behind the lot.
Be on the look out for a peeping Tom, was seen today 04/09/2022 at around 11: 48 am. He was underneath the bridge on the closes off side of the park.
Straight cut hair cut, "average" build, skin color was tanned, standing around between 5'6" or 5'10.
Look for the student housing side, or the closed off area of the creek.
Stay safe and keep an eye out.
I have been coming to Stokes Park since 10/04/2022 and I've never encountered anyone that is this atrocious.
This park should be a save place.
Please be on the lookout, especially along the underpass of the bridge on the most southern side of the park.
Cool spot to chill by the river and read a book, play guitar or do your thing but it's almost impossible to park anywhere near there and the city has closed off the only drop spot so pack light if you visit or eat your Wheaties before lugging your gear down.
A pretty (but short) walk along the river, and a couple picnic benches, but no restrooms. It would be a picturesque place to stop and eat lunch, but not much else.
I'm sure maybe it's a nice park. Until it's no longer under construction NOT worth going to. It's about a quarter mile of the trails that are open, nothing special. I'll try again next year and leave another review.
A well hidden gem. A nice place to relax and take a dip. Also, a man-made water you can jump off of. So, that’s cool.
Beautiful and quiet. Hard to believe it's close to a highway. Picnic tables are few and far between. Bring bug repellant
Great Shady place. Water isn't too deep and not over crowded like up river. We're usually the every other weekend.
Beautiful water, you can see the fish swimming around in clear water in some areas! Great place to take the family!
Great park. The waterfall is my favorite spot in SM. I love to put my head under the waterfall and. Tres satisfying.
Had a really fun time here. We had read that it might be closed but there were no restrictions in place. It was a little crowded and I go to the river to be alone or to be with my family so we wandered down the way a bit until we find a nice bend with an undercut on one side and a little back/dirt beach on the other. Only a couple people swam past, one couple smoking pot which was nice for the ambience. Great time
Nice pond stocked with catfish. Playground closed. Dock and picnic area is nice.trails for exercise.
