Ruined my first time expirence, I was trying to learn and figure out just to be yelled at to move along. Only one gentleman out the whole staff that I encounter was friendly. For such a nice establishment, they have some really rude staff members. Not worth the money spent.

If i was to rate everything from how the course is maintained to customer service to enjoyment i would give it NEGATIVE 5 stars. I have it one chance on my birthday, which was a saturday, i was with another person and paired up with 2 infront, then there was a pair in front of me and behind me. I was waiting for the person in front of me to go and got yelled at by the starter. I explained i was waiting and then decided since i paid my 18 holes i would play. I litterly couldn’t make it through 7 without 2 hours going by because the pace of play was terrible.

A couple months after my birthday, i decided let’s try again by myself during the week when it’s not busy. I went and the pace of play was fine, however the worst course i’ve played as far as maintenance. So many dead leaves interrupting chips, putts, and the tee boxes may as well have been rocks. I understand it being a little dry with the texas weather but this was out of control. I may as well should’ve played in my backyard. 0/10 never will golf here again. I gave it two chances but now i’m done.

Stonetree has a nice layout, lots of water and two distinctively different front and back nines. Today was the first time I’ve played here in several months, and I was very disappointed. The greens, which were in remarkable condition in early March, were simply horrible, with large areas of dead or no grass present on most greens on the front side. The back nine were somewhat better, but considering putting is half the game, this was just awful. Tee boxes were also in poor condition, and the bunkers were lacking one key ingredient, sand. Weeds were present in several bunkers and in some cases, there were small rocks in the bunkers. I was shocked at how the course had deteriorated in just a few months. I truly hope the greens keeper here gets his act together, but for now, I’m taking my business elsewhere. UPDATE: I played this again. When you see a sign on the clubhouse door that says “ All bunkers are to be considered ground under repair, you know it’s going to be a bad day on the course. I would be embarrassed if I was the greens keeper for this course. Folks, it is bad.

No Sand Bunkers. All dried up and no sand. But a fun course other than that.

The food bank hosted another amazing event on this past Friday the 12th, it was spectacular as always, family and friends gathered there were raffles, drawing, and some auctions going as well. Was a truly great day, hope to see you guys next year!

It pains me to rate this course so low, 3+ years ago it would have been a 4-5 star. The city leased the course out to 2 different management company's and this course has been on a downward spiral ever since. The Staff is super cool and friendly, love them all, but the management and the "greens keeper" need to put some money and work into the courses condition. The city needs to take back the control of this course's management. I would love to see this course back to where it once was.
