Straight Off the Road BBQ, Crosby TX

My only complaint is a stuffed chopped beef, chicken or pork should have BBQ sauce on or at least on the side automatically.their price for these items is a bit over the norm (like papa's or hungry farmers) but not crazy.

They now have sweet corn which really topped off the chicken fried chicken and mashed potatoes I ordered!

Work right off Miller road 2 and we been coming here for lunch for the longest always quick service and very friendly hosts not to mention great bbq!

We took my father-in-law here for his birthday. So he wanted the big steak meal. Not only did he not get it but the owner made him re buy after we waited 45mins bc they couldn't find the number.and then when he finally got it, it was completely chewy and low quality. If he didn't paid again she was going to take the money from her employees tips so my sweet poor father in law wasn't going to let that happen so he just paid again. The owner lady was so disrespectful and rude. She had her waitress crying and blaming her for everything. We will never eat here again we just thought things had changed over the years and wanted to give it another shot. The other food was great except the steak and chopped beef sandwich. Hopefully the owner lady will stop being this way and treat the employees and customers better.

The “chopped” beef is not chopped it’s shredded so thin, it gives it such a different taste. The flavor was ok but the texture was nasty. The mac and cheese was good. Maybe the other food is great but if you are looking for the traditional “chopped beef” baked potato this is not it.

Drove from Idaho and I’m glad we stopped here for melt in your mouth brisket. Worth the drive from wherever

We used to loved going to this place, today was the exception.we order as always 2 Half chicken dinners and 1Turkey dinner and a side of half pound of brisket, brisket was delicious juicy and tender as well the Turkey dinner, BUT here is the sad part, both orders of chicken dinner were really dry and dry, it was like they have the chicken cooking for sooooooo long that it was dry and hard, my husband did tell to the cashier and as well the young boy who was working as a waiter but they just ignore our complaint and acted like nothing happen, we ask about the owner and he said they were out and maybe they will be in later but didn't try to at least ask us what they can do about our food no being good. I ate mine because I was hungry but my husband didn't really touch his half chicken, we will think twice before going to this place again and really feel sorry because it was our favorite until today.

It was very busy the night we went. Other than my anxiety kicking in everything would have been perfect.

The food is great we love the stuff baked potato and steak night those are our favorites but everything is delicious

Hubby and I visited this restaurant while on a little trip out of town. We were both blown away by how good the food was and the portions were huge! I had the pulled pork sandwich with fries and a side of potato salad. The sandwich was excellent and we both loved the homemade potato salad. Hubby had the cheeseburger with pepperjack cheese and he said it was probably the best homemade burger he's ever had! We loved the laidback atmosphere and everyone there was very nice and friendly. We will take another road trip just to visit this restaurant again! Excellent value.

This is by far my favorite local BBQ establishment. The atmosphere is casual, the staff is friendly, the food is delicious.

This place is a Gem, I travel in to Crosby every 2 or 3 months and every time I travel there I half to make a stop in and order their 24oz. Rib Eye Steak as it is always cooked to the way I order it and the choice of sides are amazing. I haven’t ventured away from the Rib Eye but everything else I see looks amazing too I sometimes take a Banana Pudding with me and that Knocks it out of the park too. Friendly Staff, Clean, Nice Country Atmosphere and Amazing Food. BYOB they will also provide a ICE Bucket for you too.

Well worth the trip just a little outside of Houston staff very attentive and friendly food was delicious and large portions got a whole lot more food for my money than I would've gotten elsewhere I had the 2 meat plate and could've fed two people off it thanks for great visit
