Stratford House Apartments - Virtual Tours Available, Houston TX

I was in a time crunch to move and came across this property. It was close to where I was moving out of and the price for a 3 bedroom was appealing. The leasing agent, Jorge, helped me get information and he was great. He said the 3 bedroom was not ready for move in just yet and we could not look at it that day but it would be ready the next week to see. A older gentleman with white hair in the office came up and said that the 3 bedroom is being completely remodeled and upgraded with all new appliances. He referred Jorge to show me a completely remodeled 1 bedroom so I could get an idea of what the fixtures, countertops etc would look like once they're done with the remodel. The 1 bedroom looked great so I decided to complete and pay the fees for the application that day.

Next week comes.
After having an appointment to show me the unit on Monday, they said they needed a couple of more days for the remodel. Went in to look at the unit on Wednesday and the only thing upgraded in the unit compared to the 1 bedroom they showed me was the kitchen sink faucet. Everything else old. No new appliances, still old outdated ones and the stove top even still had stains on it from the past renter. After the visit and disappointment I called into the office and asked if they were going to put the new appliances in before my move in, and the response was no. I would have never paid the application fees if I knew this. So, I was basically lied to by the older gentleman and wasted my time and money on the application fees which they will not refund back to me. Poor management at this place. I can't imagine what the actual residents of this property go through which explains the 3 star rating. Looks like I dodged a bullet on this one.

They kept adding weird charges. The pool wasn't cleaned as it should be. I kept smelling weed in this complex. If you have family, don't come here.

I saved my bank account details while paying my 1st month rent here on the Resident Portal and a week later I see anl random Amazon charge of $200. Ofcourse I reported fraud but be careful!

Highly disappointed.
Just moved in less than a week ago, the management is very bad and seems like they are very clever in fooling the residents. The walls inside are just painted without cleaning first and no pest control at all resulting in roaches in a renovated apartment. They have painted the kitchen shelves with roaches sticking onto the walls which indicates the negligence of the management. The doors are still equipped with dust beneath, which i assume it was never cleaned.

Please stay away from these apartments they are very shady and will overcharge you on utilities upon your move out date. Their apartments are nasty and they have mold in the restrooms. These apartments are purgatory please stay away I currently have a pending lawsuit on these apartments PLEASE stay away

No one answering the doors although their are people clearly sitting at the desk. Extremely unprofessional as I was waved away by an employee instead of answering a question. Do better!

Infested with roaches.
Wall are thin.
Black mold everywhere.
Foundation is off.
Water is brown.
Management is terrible.
Car break ins often
Laundry mat is hot, people will take your clothes out, and often filled with roaches.
Sewage leaks on the side walk.
Targeted towing ….
There’s someone always walking on the phone loud all hours of the night.
Neighbor fighting!
Kids on 1,0000000!

Strafford house apartments is a great place to live, not just for the location but Mr. James and management team are making sure that every unit is renovated so people that move in can have a great experience. Take a tour and see it for yourself.

I am a new tenant. Carlos and everybody in the office were extremely nice and helpful to make my application process easy and fast. My apartment is gorgeous and wide. Everything works. The children and I love the pool. The maintenance is great and efficient. Neighbors are quiet and respectful. The location is great. Heb, Meyerland mall and lots of goid restaurants and places are nearby. The neighborhood is nice and safe. We feel safe and happy here.

Please do not move here! If I could give them zero stars, I would. The leasing office is awful, they are so quick to charge you for anything. They are so unprofessional. When you call the office, it seems like you are a joke to them. It is also infested with roaches! The bathroom is always leaking. They even towed my car that I had listed on the lease and I live here. Please save your money and look somewhere else.

I feel very grateful for the treatment and attention that they have given me. Especially Carlos for his excellent work and kindness. I really appreciate him.

If the water ain't down the electricity is out.and if the electricity ain't out your car is being broken into! The whole area is ghetto.don't let the knew paint and appliances fool you! Been much happier ever since I moved out!

The staff is very helpful, specifically Carlos. He was so awesome at helping me with the move in progress, answered any questions or concerns I had and he made sure I got the apartment I wanted. He definitely went above and beyond every single time. So I greatly appreciate him for his help with getting me into my apartment. Also any maintenance or pest control issues I have is always taken care of within a timely manner. Love calling Stratford House my home!

Don't move here!

Pros: Rent was around $600 month when I first moved in.
Trash pick up daily.
Friendly neighbors for the most part.
Near by downtown and trails.

Cons: Major flood plane.
Management doesn't work with you when it comes to major issues.
Car break ins and theft.
Outdated AC units.
Overpriced rent for the ghetto area.
Roaches and pests.
Constant construction and renovations.goodnight if you work from home!
Constant water shut offs and power outages!
Untrustworthy maintenance; they destroyed my property and didn't take responsibility!
And the list goes on!

If your looking for a home and welcoming community this is the place to go I came here and fell in love with the place very nice and clean apartments and outdoor is beautiful and my leasing agent Carlos Molina Peña was very helpful very well Mannered and Respectful during the meeting and entire process for the apartment he was very welcoming and professional showed me everything and explained everything perfectly to me about the apartment now me and my family have a new home that we love and appreciate thanks to StratfordHousing:)! !

Pros: I rented a newly renovated apartment with vinyl plank floors, granite counters throughout the apartment, high end appliances and fixtures and so much closet space. I was on the ground floor so I had a nice sized fenced and locking lanai. My utilities were always really low, maybe about $100 a month for everything. Staff was nice. Maintenance was fast.
Cons: My *reserved* parking spot was next to the office and the amazon hub, so everyone and their brother parked in, behind and every other way to block me in/out of my parking spot.
The entire complex has been over run with crime. B&E's, car jackings, entire wheels stolen and vehicles left on rocks, mailboxes broken into.and that's during the day. A "security" company was hired, but they're never around and it made things worse.

Water cuts happening almost every week since long time, feels like living in a drought impacted area. FIX THIS PLEASE

I have lived here 2 plus years. The community is quiet, grounds/pools well cared for, any maintenance issues I have encountered have been promptly address. The office staff is very helpful, and hands on. Since being here there have been minor issues (that the office has addressed
immediately) Just renewed my lease.it's not where u live, but how u live!
