Studio Movie Grill, Plano TX

The foods good, the seats could improve and they could have more movie times then just 2 a day. I also didn't appreciate the 18% service charge added on orders. Tipping is a choice and you're taking that choice away from the consumer and intentionally taking there hard earned money. I prefer Cinemark now cause they don't use that method or automatic tipping and there much nicer theaters and a variety of choices for movies. Used to be a studio movie grill fanatic but no more the companies gone down hill massively In the last 3 years. Don't expect to return anytime soon unless I get a really good deal

Went to see The House of Gucci on a Sunday afternoon. Bought tickets online, picked out seats so the convenience there was great. When we got to our seats they were dirty (food/trash in the seat) and the tray was sticky. The seats did not look to be in good condition, similar to how those chairs crack down the middle once they've been overused. We moved a couple of seats down and this proved to be annoying as well, because we were now impossible on other people who picked their seats. I feel like this is a nice option but when the seats you pick aren't clean or in bad shape, what other option do you have? Ordered drinks (beer) and food (cheese fries, chips & queso, and wings) and they were damn good. The service was good, so no complaints there. We had been to SMG before but not that one so I was expecting it to be nicer, being in West Plano.

Haven't been there in 3 years and may not come back. The movie was good but the service was definitely not. We ordered just 2 large popcorns and it took about 1.5 hours to get it. After about 45 mins we pushed the button for service. A waiter came and we asked about the popcorn. She said that the kitchen was backed up. I would think that popcorn is a staple in a theater and should be readily available. About 1 hour and 25 mins after ordering the popcorn, we were given a bill. Lol. We didn't even get the food so the employee apologized and got a manager. The manager fixed it by comping the popcorn. Outside of the front door is a railing that my wife almost fell because she went to use it and it fell apart.

Food was good, service was ok. Only thing I would complain about is one of the food delivery people did not seem to care about blocking the view of others when bringing food to movie watchers.

Apparently this particular location likes to discriminate against diabetics. They do not have the food accommodations for diabetics, and yet the manager says there needs to be prior request. Also, there is nothing on their website, rules, or any where else is this requirement listed or posted. Don't go to this movie theater if you're a diabetic. They hate you and hate that you bring your own accommodations to just peacefully enjoy a movie.
We will never return to this location. Go to Cinemark or literally any other location. This place deserves zero stars.

Excellent service, food delicious, great clean environment. Not crowded surprisingly… hope they get more business so they stay i biz! Love the staff. Chance is a GREAT bartender…well run establishment.

Worst experience ever here. Started out the popcorn machine was broken. Then waited a hour for food that was cold that was 100 plus dollars. Believe this is last time me and my family will be here

I have been going to this theater for years, but today I went to see Eternals, I get into the screen room 11, which I never been in before, things is just not right.it is such a bad screen, it was installed too highly, even the last row may have to raise the head, causing neck problem. The screen is blurry and refresh rate is so low, fast moving scenes had a hard time showing motions, even the end credit scroll was jittery. Screen 11 also has a very dim brightness. I can’t see some dark scenes. It is a Marvel movie, and I feel like watching on my 55 inch TV at home when it comes to the brightness. That room is just very inconsistent with other screens in the theater. One more thing, when the end credits shows, the room turn on the lights. It is a Marvel movie, the mid credit scenes are important, it is like having some newbies running the show

Horrible service. My button didn’t work. I had to get up in the middle of the movie to order. Then receiving what we ordered took forever. The food somehow always came before the drinks. The service staff was very sassy and obviously did not care. Really frustrating as I have been to other SMG and the service was never like that. The food was really good though. Just wished I didn’t have to get up to order it and remind staff about remaining parts of my orders. Overall disappointing.

The expierience was horrible. I pushed my service button and no one came for 20 minutes so I instead had to get up mind you they were not busy. The guy working the bar he was cool A1 at his job. The floor was sticky in the theater and when I told someone she said she’ll be back but never came back. Along with that the restrooms were nasty very nasty and when I pressed the service button for that no one came.

Service was better than last time I went to one. However my two complaints is they were out of a food item and both our drinks were delivered completely flat. They addressed this and got us new drinks, so all was good.
Hope everyone can get back out to the movies soon. We were 2 of 6 in the theater for a movie that just came out.
We look forward to going back.

The movie was awesome but the workers/food attendants are very young and lazy.my food was served cold and the cheese on my nachos was cold and dry.

The food is boring and the floor, seats and trays are dirty. It is just a location that is convenient to us do to it's closeness to home, so we just go for a drink and to watch a movie. The staff doesn't know how to wear a mask. Management should not force the staff to wear one, if the management cannot teach and enforce how to properly wear one.

Absolutely a movie-goers theater! The design, the adult bar and the food service is a welcome experience. You can dine before the show or have your order delivered to you as you relax in reclined seating with a private arm tray to set your meal on. Clean and attractive environment with plenty of parking available. Go early and have martini before your show.

Walked in with no one inside to greet us, went to our assigned theater (6) and it was absolutely disgusting. All the tray tables where dirty. Would definitely not recommend this place to anyone. Maybe other ones outside of plano are better but definitely not this one.

Food is fine. It's perfectly acceptable but not great. Reclining seats are amazing but only available in the first 4 rows, 2 rows of small theaters. Fine way to see a movie but not all the great way to eat

This place is disgusting and the whole place smells like weed and we didn't even want to touch anything COVID seemed like it never happened and the manager didn't even care that everyone in the place was trying to get refunds.

I love this place and though it's not the ideal way to have dinner it is fantastic to be able to press a button and get another beer.

As a regular movie goer this was the worst movie going experience in many years! There were guests talking through the movie which was very disrupting. Wife complained to server and nothing happend. She then went to lobby and complained. A manager was supposed to come, but didn't. Finally another complaint to server and 10 mins after that a manager talked to guest. By this time the movie was 3/4 over and we had missed many key dialogue scenes and after all that not a dime was comped, and no apolgies. Redicious!
