Sugar Cycles, Missouri City TX

For several years I wanted a bike that was not so harsh riding. Several years ago I purchased another brand's Hybrid but it was still too harsh going over bumps and the ergonomics had me stretched over the front of the handlebars so not so comfortable. I recently went looking for a more comfortable bike for riding with my family. I purchased a cruiser from another brand but returned it as I hated the way it rode. Then I tried and purchased the Roll 3.0. On the way home I realized this bike feels just like the single speed bikes I rode in my youth (before the "Ten Speed" craze days). Big balloon tires give a comfortable ride and the ergonomics are much more "sitting up". I love the way it feels even when I leave the pavement and cut across a grass levy to avoid some traffic. The components may be far superior to the single speed coaster bike of my youth but what this bike really offers is the freedom to go wherever in comfort. A paved road is comfortable and fast rolling. A grass field takes a little more effort but the multiple gears and the balloon tires keep the ride comfortable. Thanks to the crew at Sugar Cycles for finally getting me onto the exact bike and frame size for which I was longing.

These guys are always friendly, welcoming and helpful without being pushy. One of my favorite new bike shops!

SC has always made informed recommendations consistent with what is the best value for me, and never let my bike leave the shop without making sure it’s safe. They’ve also given me plenty of good advice and minor adjustments at no charge, just to make sure e.g. My rear derailleur or axle was right. My trusted local bike shop.

Dealt with 3 different gentlemen. One during my initial phone call, another while dropping off the bikes for repair, and another when picking bikes up. All 3 were very friendly and helpful. Repairs were quick and fee was definitely fair. These guys are great!

I came in for help on changing a tire (it was my first flat), and they were helpful, and showed me exactly how to change the tire for when I’m on the road, and went through purchases for now (like the barebones), later (if I decide cycling is for me), and ideal (if, and when I decide to dedicate fully to cycling) —and most importantly, why each, and individual item is needed/wanted/ideal.

I am sure (because capitalism) that they upsold me, but I didn’t feel pressured, or anything. Truly, perfect customer service.

The crew at Sugar Cycles is “small-town friendly”, combined with top notch expertise at reasonable prices.

Sheepishly took my moms rolling walker in hoping the brakes acted the same as a bikes. Was welcomed & he got to work on it right away. A few twists here a screwdriver there & the brakes we’re working good as new! These walkers aren’t cheap & he absolutely saved the day!
