Summerwood Cove Apartments, Dallas TX

Been living here since December of 2019 and all I've seen since then is improvements. The pool just got renovated and the whole complex got a new face-lift with the exterior and porches. Casey Davis has been very helpful with my request when I call in. Luis one of the maintenance team associates and he's been superb every time I need him to fix any minor issues. Overall I'm happy to be living at Summerwood!

I received a tour From Ms. Perla. She was amazing! Even though there were a lot of people in the office she still made time to give me a tour. The apartments are lovely.

This is the worst apartment complex I have ever lived at. If I could give this place no stars I would. My time at this place has been horrible from the start. My front door locked never work ever since I live there. & did they change it no, never. They just kept rigging it. I had to paid $13.00 for maintenance every month but they never fixed the problem. You also pay for pest control which is $2.50 and they never came out also. I just recently moved out and they charge me $83.00 for pest control for dates 6/09 - 6/19. That’s 10 days! & I’m top of that they charged me for pet treatment and I don’t even have a pet at all! They just want your money! Clearly this property isn’t making its revenue. There’s been two murders on the property and people breaking into our mailboxes. But they will send email after email to let us know they are only doing emergency work orders and to not put non emergency work orders in the system. I literally talked to someone I’m the office that stated since they couldn’t come into our apartment due to COVID19 that we wouldn’t be charge for the bar area literally falling apart or having to literally pry my bedroom door open because it got jammed some how and they didn’t consider that a emergency. But they charged me for it anyways. I always paid my rent on time and never a disturbance. But you can not expect much from this trash property. If anyone is reading this please do not move here. It’s roach infested and they don’t have pest control but some how even if you are doing everything right you are going to end up paying for it when you move out.

Everyone here is special to work with! The staff is superb with service and the quick responses to any issues. Been at this property since 2014 and have loved almost every second of it! The maintenance team is great and performs a high quality service to any maintenance needs. They even helped me with my Christmas Tree one year! That is just a small taste of the Random Acts of Kindness that their teams provide! They are always doing events within the community like drawings for prizes, blood donations, decoration contests, etc. This is a nice property to grow a family. It's gated and privacy is the most important. I highly recommend!

First impression of the apartment and consultant that help me sign up is 5 stars. Then.
I found that my apartment has a lot of things that need to be fixed. It was never cleaned. After doing my own cleaning I realize just how dirty it was, I found Piss still on the toilet from either the maintenance or the previous resident. I have many entry ways into the building infrastructure.
My gate code doesn't work for the second day of my lease.
I went into the office today and notified one of the staff members.she said they have to restart the system give it 30 minutes
I've been locked outside the apartment complex several times for the past 2 days while trying to move in. I've been a resident of this apartment for two days and I spent hours outside the gate trying to get in.

On the third day of my lease I try to get internet service only to find out that this building never had the proper equipment installed to provide my internet of choice. They say I must wait two weeks to two months. I was never informed of this at all until today.

Stressful and vexing
I can't believe this is turning out to be a nightmare

Viewed the property and a model home and just from that much i love it there its in a nice area ducked off, i got my approval email yesterday so i cant wait to be a future resident here ill give an updated rewiew after i get moved in next month the office staff was very pleasent and friendly and understanding price is reasonable compared to surrounding prices thank god i found these

Great property, the manager has done an incredible job cleaning up the property. I would definitely recommend.

Just watched the YouTube video of the armed security saying "were here to enforce all the rules and regulations of the community". Huh.kinda hoping to hear they are here to protect residents and all properties. I'll check but I think I read somewhere that only the licensed property manager can take steps to enforce rules and regulations. Never to visit this property, ever.

I have lived at Summerwood Cove for a year. It has been a very pleasant experience. The office staff is always professional, pleasant and helpful as well as the maintenance staff. Although the complex isn't new, it is maintained extremely well inside and out! If you are looking for a nice apartment community, I highly recommend Summerwood Cove!

I have lived at Summerwood Cove Apartments for 2 years and never had problems with roaches. The maintenance guys are really good.

Moved in on 04/07/18 Toria helped me with my move in and she was very helpful and nice I would recommend this community to a friend.
Great Service

When you live in these apartments, and you see documentaries about survivors of refugee camps or the holocaust, you really envy those people in the documentary! Just saying.

Horrible practices. Charged 225 to deny my husband due to a paid claim on his credit. The maintenance guy was great but dont rent here.

Good price and pretty quite for the area. Gates are open twenty plus days a month but now the have armed security. Take pictures of everything including walls and ceilings when you move in. Try to converse with office only through email that way you have a record. Reserve parking I would encourage but tow company only comes when they want. Even with all this it is the best one in area. I WAS LOOKING INTO MOVING INTO THESE APARTMENTS. BUT AFTER READING THE REVIEWS. I CHANGED MY MIND. THANKS TO THE TENANTS FOR THE WARNINGS. AND THANKS TO MANAGEMENT FOR POSTING SAD SORRY EXCUSES. THOSE EXCUSES ARE WHAT REALLY MADE ME CHANGE MY MIND. IT SHOWS ME THAT THE OWNERS/ CORPORATION IS ONLY ABOUT MONEY AND DONT GIVE A DAM ABOUT THE UPKEEP OF THESE APARTMENTS OR BEING GRATEFUL TO THEIR TENANTS FOR LEASING SUCH MESS. HEADS UP ON THE TOWING GIMMICK. ITS TO PUT MONEY IN THE TOW COMPANIES POCKET. THE OFFICE OWNERS KNOW WHATS UP. SHAME SHAME SHAME SHAME SHAME. WHEN CHRIST RETURN. ITS GONNA BE HELL WHEN PEOPLE HAVE TO PAY FOR THEIR WRONG DOING. AMEN

I was excited about moving into this place. The visit was great but after putting my app through and paying all fees and the early deposit for a specific floor plan, I was assigned another apartment without my knowledge for a higher price because the other one wasnt available. And all of a sudden the apartment i had apllied for went up in price about $120 a month. You cant just switch someone to a different apartment without their knowledge. There must be miscommunication among employees or something about prices and otherwise. I will be calling corporate to get my money back.

Visited a friend, absolutely no parking for visitors and tell their clients "we really don't care about your visitors". I was interested in moving here, then i heard that. Not anymore. It's not like they were any type of nice either once I got into my buddies apt.

This place is a SCAM. They told my daughter that she was guaranteed to get in, took her $175.00 app fee, then told her no. Single mother. Not ALLOWED A COSIGNER, NOT ALLOWED TO GIVE a reasonable explanation or to have something that was years old removed off. Who charges 175 app fee anyway?

The office ladies are unprofessional and do not communicate. They promised me an apartment that I put my deposit on then a week later sent me a lease with a different apartment number that was far from my preference so I had to call where they could not explain why but offered to show me the other apartment. I refused because of the location and past experiences so I wanted my money back, they will not give it to me. I was late to work yesterday trying to wait on someone to talk to but they were all avoiding me SO FINALLY I asked how much longer and they told me the supervisor was busy and on lunch come back tomorrow. Here it is tomorrow and what a coincidence she’s not at the office and won’t be in today lol and supposedly is the only one who can handle the situation.the assistant manager stated it was out of her hands lol. So now I have to wait till Monday and pray the supervisor is there lol Their pride for their wrong doings is too strong to be trying to run a business lol. But I will be taking this to the better business bureau, cooperate etc.if professionalism and honesty is a big thing for you DONT MOVE HERE.
