Summit Recreation Center, Temple TX

They need to move the "Peloton" bikes to the back Cardo area. I don't believe they ever get used in the weight training room.

Great facility for the price. Employees are nice, good selection of equipment, and the place seems clean and well maintained. More cable machines and more space in the dumbbell area would be nice but it hasn’t been an issue the times I have visited. I have only used the weight room and cardio areas but everything else looked great when I walked around the facility. Highly recommend!

A City of Temple facility attempting to please many diverse groups and doing it rather well. Weight machines to indoor/outdoor ball courts the Summit does many things for many people. Citizens of Temple should be proud of the Park and Recreation Department. So stop, take a moment and look around. You'll see Parks and Recreation has a big footprint.

It's getting crowded might need to expand weight room.other than that I love the staff and they are super friendly! Wish the pool was year round! Rock climbing? When? ! Sauna and jacuzzi in each bathroom! Lockers as well!

Nothing flashy, but has all you need to stay fit and healthy and a little fun along with it. One of Temple's hidden gems.

This is a great place to work out, swim, climb rock wall, racket ball, tennis, basketball, etc. Very good value if the price was for gym only, but it covers everything.

Love this place! Especially the cycling class! I will definitely continue to attend this class.

Initially I was very interested because they had a swimming pool and I thought I could come in early and get some laps in. However, the pool is only open for a few months and it isn't open in the early mornings. This was a big disappointment and so I was no longer interested.

I paid in advance for sessions with a personal trainer. The trainer had to cancel the sessions because of his daytime job. They never refunded my money. It’s been plenty of time. I can’t believe they did this.

The Summit has always been a great place to work-out and exercise plus they have a great pool when open

Really like this gem in Temple. Reminds me of my days in the military or growing up going in the Y as it has almost everything you need for Fitness and health.

Love the summit! They have a new online reservation service and it seems to be working great! Just schedule your time (1.5hr) and go enjoy your time. You get time to workout or just use the sauna, like I do! I highly recommended the Summit Rec. Center for your workouts or relaxation. Their pool is even open, if you reserve it! The child care is still down and that’s why I only gave 4 starts. Once that is up and running, they are definitely a 5 star location.

This place is great! They have a ton of amenities. The employees were very friendly. The place was very clean. Definitely will be coming back!
