16Scenic place. A must go and spend at least 30 min to watch sun setting slowly at dawn. Beautiful sighting. It's a hidden gem. You can drive your car right next to this spot.
It was decent (could be more beautiful in other times of the year, not sure). You see just greenery and hills may be for 100 miles. Hike is easy, you can even drive up to it
We like this drive to see some flora and fauna of the Hill Country as well as a spectacular view.
Great spot for views of Lago Vista and Lake Travis in the distance. Deck gets busy on the weekends.
I've been visiting this place for many years, but less often now that a huge development has mowed down the trees across the street. Austin is growing, but it seems that we collectively made a bad decision to allow new housing to encroach here. Hopefully Texans will approve new funding for our state parks and the state can buy up some of the other areas that border this federal preserve.
It’s always really relaxing to come here and there are hiking trails throughout that you can do. The scenery is so gorgeous.
Sunset deck is peaceful in the afternoons. One of my favorite places to watch the sun go down.

Covered wooden overlook with several benches and informational signage about the local flora and fauna.accessible via a small gravel parking area, or the Ridgeline Trail.beautiful views to the SW of the canyon and Colorado river.
Beautiful view and easy access if you need to drive to the top. Or you can hike up to the deck. Either way, one of the best views of Lago Vista and the Texas hill country.
Nice date place to surprise your partner and the trail starts from the road and ends exactly next to the sunset deck.
It got excellent sunset view. It’s 20 mins from cedar park. The park closes at sunset and make sure you leave before that. It’s a bit isolated and you find no crowd during weekdays which is good and bad!
Amazing lookout from about 1250 ft.with southern 150 degree views of the Colorado River valley and east Texas Hill Country.
Easy drive from 1431 in Lago Vista and absolutely spectacular views! Go for the sunsets. The park closes and the gate locks at sunset but if you're already inside the gate will open to let you out after dark.
Very short and easy walk from the parking lot to the overlook.

Amazing views, it was nice that we didn't have to hike to get there because we had an 18 month old
Awesome and peaceful view of the Hill Country and Lake Travis. It connects to the Warbler Vista trail system which also has great views and opportunity for both short and longer hikes.
