Sunset did an amazing job on our backyard space including pool, gazebo, and fire pit area.
Kirstie, the GM and Sales Designer, was wonderful throughout the process. She started with a thoughtful design and was very patient as we worked through a number of design iterations and the contract.
Frank was our project manager and did a great job. He was very attentive and responsive. As with any project, there were issues along the way, but Frank always stepped in and resolved issues quickly (often with the support of Kirstie). I don’t judge a company on having zero issues (almost never happens) but rather how they respond; and I was impressed with how Sunset dealt with issues along the way.
The rest of the Sunset team, including Adam, the owner, Robin and Monica in the office were always professional and courteous.
In summary, Sunset may not be the lowest cost pool builder but they are a good value. They upheld a high level of integrity, quality of workmanship, and responsiveness to my requests and concerns.
I will do a follow up review as we get through the first year of use to see how the quality holds up and how Sunset responds to any warrant issues that arise.

We are so grateful for Sunset Pools from the start of our project to finish as well as servicing after completion. We cannot be more thankful for Kevin’s keen eye for design, Ricky’s diligence and professionalism overseeing the project and all of Sunset Pool’s crew and office staff. Sunset did a great job building our pool. They did everything they said they would do, and the crews were clean and efficient. Our project manager, Frank, stayed on top of everything from start to finish. He was very responsive to all texts and emails throughout the process.

We were very involved with multiple questions and concerns, and Frank handled them all. Most of our concerns were from lack of knowledge of the process. In the event there was an issue, including minor grouting issues or a tile we didn't like, Sunset addressed it. In the rare event Frank wasn't available, Kevin, the pool designer, stepped in and helped out. When it came time to install the pebble tech, Kevin took time and toured us to multiple pools in the area to see the colors away from the show room and websites.

We also received weekly emails on scheduling and what to expect during each week. Weather permitting, Sunset worked quickly. Our project started in late April and was completed by mid June. We had a few follow up questions once the pool was completed, and Frank came by again to discuss.

Payments are due in installments and based on the schedule provided in the email received each week. 5% is due upfront at signing, followed by 20%, 50%, 20%, and the final 5% was due on the final completion date.

Lastly, if you are going to build a pool, factor in additional costs such as landscaping and gas meter upgrades. Sunset did replace/fix irrigation and sod that was destroyed, but anything else is additional cost. All of this was discussed upfront with Kevin before we signed the contract.

Sunset Pools was the best part of the building process because they were informative, communicative and patient. Their design translated into a fantastic final product. The entire company is full of good honest people. Thank you Taylor, Robin and Ricky.

Adam and the team at Sunset did an incredible job designing and constructing the pool of our dreams. From start to finish, every aspect of the project was handled professionally and punctually. All contractors who worked on the project paid immense attention to detail and cleaned up after themselves. Our project came in ahead of schedule - we avoided any headaches like I frequently hear from friends who used other pool builders. We are Sunset customers for life and would recommend them to anyone and everyone who wants more than a pool but a beautiful and functional extension of their home.

Sunset Pools installed our pool/spa/pergola/waterfall/decking in the first half of 2022. Construction time was about 12 weeks. The pool has been in service for about 8 months and there have been no issues. Pool designer Kevin was great to work with and listened to our input as he created our design. Our project manager Felipe was excellent to work with. His communication and professionalism were keys to a low stress installation. We made a great choice in using Sunset Pools.

When we we looking for a pool company to design and build our backyard project, aside from the design, the top 3 factors we considered were 1) responsiveness, 2) reliability, and 3) quality, and I feel the Kevin, Felipe, and the Sunset team delivered on that. Not only did they follow through on their commitments but they also quickly answered all our “dumb questions, ” which we appreciated. All the other companies we looked at feel short on that — late to meetings, didn’t listen to our asks, too long to respond, arrogant like we were lucky to have their time, etc. 5 months in and we’re enjoying our kitchen, patio, and pool and enjoying our family time outside. No issues at all and people that come over say that it has a resort feel, which we love! Thanks Kevin, Felipe, and Sunset team!

Very professional and they are backing up their work by addressing issues, concerns even coordinating warranty

We are a repeat customer. After we moved away from our first pool, we didn’t shop around just called Kevin and said “Let’s do it again! ” Their design is thorough, accurate and they include what you don’t even know to ask for. They work with you to stay on budget and give hi/ low options for a customized look. They use high end materials that hold up to the elements and they even went outside their suppliers to buy a specific tile I wanted. Their install is quality. They use the right equipment and don’t take shortcuts. They have an app that shows you everything that is scheduled for the week and Ricky was always on site checking up on trades. Their carpenter is incredible and meticulous. All that is nice but when they all go away, what you are left with is what matters. A Sunset pool just looks better than other pools. The workmanship holds up over the years (our first pool looked brand new after 4 years). The equipment does all the work for you with automatic freeze protection, and an app you can control from your phone. They keep in touch with you for warranty work and check in to tell you how to prep for unexpected weather, etc. I would never use another company. Stop your search and call them!

She outlined how the work would be completed in a 12 week time span and it was completed according to schedule. At the start of every week they informed us what work we could expect.
