Super 8 by Wyndham San Antonio Near Fort Sam Houston

This place is beyond disgusting. The room was so dirty, collected dust everywhere, not a single surface is this room is wiped or cleaned from last guest except the bed was made but the bedsheets are dirty and stained. There was hair in the bed, sink and bathtub. The sink has build mold or collected dirty water behind the faucet and i wiped it and it came with the paper towel this proves housekeeping didn’t bother to wipe it from last guest. Walls are dirty from top to bottom with stained and dust. The bathtub has mold that you can just scrape off and wipe but again the house keeping didn’t clean it. The AC unit is dusty as hell. The floor has shoe/footprint and super dirty. Towels are dirty, you wouldn’t consider to use in your skin. The pillow and bed stink, visibly stained looks like they never replaced pillow case and bedsheet. Every appliance and furniture is dusty like collected dust that has not been touched or cleaned for months. Room noise because of non stop water sound from the bathroom. Do not stay here no matter what. Most disgusting hotel In ever been to. I WOULD GIVE THIS ZERO OR NEGATIVE RATE. THIS PLACE SHOULDN’T BE IN BUSINESS. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Do not stay here it is worse than a trash can! The rooms are filthy and they are full of roaches. Everything was so dirty. Drug dealers everywhere and cops. Your vehicle is not safe. This place should not be in business it should be condemned.

First of all, We almost paid $98 per room. Checked in. At 12 in the night, we were already tired. The front desk was friendly, but as soon as we checked in. The room temperature was almost closed to 90 degrees. As the AC was not turned on! It took almost 6 hours for room to reach 75 degrees! It was sleepless night. Didn't accept this situation. When we reached out to the front desk, they told me it would cool down. It took 6 hours as ACs are old.
Not a good vibe! Lighting is very poor!

We all know the super 8. All owned by foreign interest if which our American tax dollar funded opportunity for people who have no children buried at the Arlington national cemetery but will treat us who put them in their business opportunity like we are second class when we show up to book a room. These owners come from poverty and don't know the heritage of American Service Standards or it's history enough to continue to provide the same. We pay more and get less everyday and a good portion to greedy opportunist who know how to put their hands out for what we labored for and have our sons and daughters for. These people should be displaying their gratitude instead of stubbornness and disrespect.

Cheap, kinda clean. Didn't feel sketchy. Bathroom had some bad repairs and sprayed water everywhere.

Rude front desk with unrealistic guest expectations. AC was turned off during the 110 degree hot San Antonio summer day and turned on as we walked into the room. Terribly hot for a few hours. Was advised that Ibas a guest was suppose to call ahead of time to tell the I was showing up and to turn on the AC in my room. Never in my life have I’ve had to do this before. Towels need replacement. Thin, rough and with old stains. Location is good but lots of interesting people walking around at night. Will definitely stay elsewhere next time.

Sure, the cable channels are not consistent from room to room, and the WiFi isn't particularly good, but I'd put this location up to any in the immediate area. Price and value is good even if there is no breakfast available.

I have not had bedbugs, bad sheets, or any other odd stuff. I think they do a decent job of trying to run this location. The characters I've seen here are much better than others I've been too.

Realistically, I could spend more money to be away from shady or suspicious people, better amenities.etc but a decent bed and hot water is good enough for me here.

Do not recommend. I have reason to believe the policies and procedures in place here include unethical, illegal, and immoral activity. I was in lobby for hours waiting for paid reservation to be ready. Additionally, I’ve witnessed numerous guest seek blankets, pillows, and towels, and the front desk said, ‘go find the person with them. ’ This property seeks to maximize profits, minimize expenses, and the people suffer. If the prices were half, then you get what you pay for. At these rates, this place is not the best option. Perhaps Super 8 isn’t the best for the people.

I get hotels often, and aware quality is determined by rate of night. From my understanding, Super 8, has the worst quality/rate ratio, and personally not going to make this naive decision again.

This hotel is very unkept and nasty. The lobby was not clean, the attendant was very curt, and the continental breakfast that was advertised is not available. There was trash all over the parking lot, and the location is not conducive. I refused to stay at this hotel and immediately cancelled my reservation as soon as I arrived.

I'm not the pickiest person, but I won't choose just any old place to stay for my family & I. About 8 years ago, I booked this hotel room for a quick trip. My daughter had a dance competition. The room was 10 minutes from the coliseum. It was affordable, clean, comfy & they had breakfast.

My husband & I chose it again for yet another quick trip around 2019 & boom, another great experience.

Fast forward to last week. My daughter had a cheer competition. I figured we'd keep the tradition going. We got the room key & proceeded to inspect the room before settling in. Immediately, you could tell the rooms weren't being kept up like they used to. There were holes in the bedspread & a nice sized hole in the porcelain bath tub. I went to the front & requested a different room.

Opened the door to the new room, once again. NOT CLEAN! The room smelled like old food & curry. It was unbearable. I knew the room hadn't been cleaned properly & just like the previous room, you could see the dirty looking toilets & tub stains from not cleaning regularly. There was a huge noticable dent in the bed on one side. This made me think that someone had been living in that particular room.

I headed over to the bathroom area & there were 4 GNATS/BUGS crawling around the sink. They didn't fly away or anything. I was completely disgusted.

Let's not forget that upon arrival they told me "oh yea we don't serve breakfast anymore because of Covid". I don't think I would've wanted their breakfast anyway save your money & add a little more to it so that you can book a clean, comfy hotel for your family! This place is disgusting. Idk if it's new management or what, but anything is better than this.

He offered to show me a 3rd room. There's no way it should take 3 & 4 times to find a room decent enough. I had seen all I needed to see. The place was nasty. Requested a refund which takes 7-10 business days so that was yet another inconvenience. Had to find another hotel last minute at the beginning of spring break. Save yourself the frustration.

Decent enough location (though we did observea drug deal going down in the parkinglot), good food nearby. Price is about what I would expect for a Super 8 in a big city. The room itself is sketchy. What looks like blood splatter on the ceiling, baseboards are icky, bathroom smells heavily of mold, what appears to be mold/grime in the bathtub, and mold on walls in the bathroom.

This was booked as a 2 night stay. The next morning we requested a room change. The new room was much better. Cleaner, no mold, no blood (or whatever it was) on the ceiling.

Poor service and dirty/dusty rooms. Soiled towels and a noisy A/C unit. Probably the worse hotel I have stayed at.

This place went down hill fast from last year. We were over charged for our room, still no breakfast not even coffee lots of warning signs which is depressing not the same owners and they seem like criminals to me

One of the worst hotels I ever stayed in San Antonio will never stay there again. Very bad experience checking in the lady kept telling me do you smoke weed don’t smoke in there. If not, you’ll be charge is posted all over the rooms. The room is dirty nasty is only one entrance and one entrance out. Sheets are torn and smelling roaches. I have pictures I try to get a refund they wouldn’t do it. I mentioned do not do housekeeping in my room. I’m in law enforcement, so I appreciate if they didn’t go in the room they still went in the room I caught them in the room.

It was noisy and could not get any clean towels sheets or cups restroom floor caving in front desk couldn't give me anything I needed that was suppose to be in the room. Someone went in the room moved the beds away from the wall but put nothing I requested in there. So what were they doing in there?

Terrible service in the room with a broken coffee maker and hair dryer and during our absence, despite requesting repairs, they never did it

Huge bed. Definitely Not 4star rating, from the locked out sign to the warning posters all around for no cooking, no candles and fines for fires started. Beyond its being an older property. It was fine - not high priced
We slept well. That's what counts. Comfortable HUGE bed

Roaches… Mystery stains on and under the beds… Hair in the sheets, so clearly not fresh… Smoke in a non-smoking room… We left after maybe 20 minutes because it only got worse the more we looked. If I could leave 0 stars I would.

Didn't stay.went to another motel. Gave them a 1 star because there's no lower ones.
