Sylvan Learning of Baytown & Mont Belvieu

My son won a free summer of tutoring with our local Sylvan Learning Center. Since he struggled with math, we were very excited to have this opportunity to better prepare him for high school. He is enjoying his tutoring sessions and after only two hours of on-line group instruction, stated that he was finally beginning to understand inequalities & equations. We both believe that the tutoring hours he has been blessed to receive will greatly strengthen his math skills and abilities. We truly appreciate this opportunity for him to gain knowledge, understanding & confidence in all he has the potential to achieve and look forward to all he will learn in the coming weeks.

Sylvan is fantastic! They created a custom, intense program for my daughter that gave her the skills she needed to pass the GED math test. She learned skills that she couldn't get a grasp on in high school. My daughter has a new level of confidence and the skills to be anything her heart desires! Thank you to the Awesome team at Sylvan. I would strongly recommend anyone who is struggling to give Sylvan a chance. We have paid for after school tutoring and she has went to intervention during school hours but still struggled until now. Since she started she is now on level and she brings home A's on her reading papers and an A in class.

My son's reading level increased by 2 grades! He is doing so much better this year at school. Plus my kids enjoyed the learning experience. I am so grateful, thanks for all of the help and for making it fun for my kiddos.

My granddaughter has struggled with math this past year in school so I decided to try Sylvan learning center.

My 8 year old daughter is Dyslexic and has been going to Sylvan this summer to help in some areas in reading she was needing. I have been so impressed! My daughter loves going and has learned so much. The teacher's are certified teachers who love to teach.that makes the such a difference! I can't wait for my daughter to start 3rd grade to see how well she does. She's more than just prepared. She's prepared to excel with confidence!

My daughter struggled a lot with Literature. She was not a strong reader. Being in 3rd grade, with a 2nd grade reading level. Sylvan helped her out a lot! With a few months to catch her up for her state test, I can say my daughter was more confident than ever to take this test. I’ve noticed her reading is more fluent and understands better what she is reading.

My son needed help the last few months of 1st grade. Sylvan Baytown really boosted his confidence and helped round out the year on a good note. The Tutors always welcome him with a smile which makes him feel comfortable. The hours are very convenient for working parents. My son is in 2nd grade now and we go just to keep him on track.

After only 3 weeks my kids has shown great improvement. My 6 year old went from struggling with reading to now reading on his own. My oldest confidence has really improved. He now does his work by himself before Sylvan I had to be on him.

My daughter loves going here. She is in the third grade now and I am so proud of her. I begin to notice significant progress after she attended for about four months starting in the summer. My daughter has a specific learning disability in reading. She spends most time in the general education classroom with occasional staff that come in and help throughout the day. She can learn, but it takes a lot of patience and understanding. She missed a lot of the instructional foundation in her educational program due to the fast pace of the classroom and so many expectations. I value my child's education and drive. She works so hard. The few extra hours of teaching is not only building her confidence, but targeting a lot of those things she missed at her own pace. I was thrilled to find that their was a Special Education teacher on staff who was very knowledgeable as well. I would recommend this place. Every child learns at a different pace and you have to give it time to see progress, but it is well worth the money.

I have been a teacher here for almost a year. I teach all day, but yet I love coming to Sylvan and helping students learn. I get to see the progress each student makes and it gives me joy. It is a great work environment.

I've taught at Sylvan since August 2017. Working with a diverse set of students, that are different each time, reminds me of why I love teaching and why I entered this profession. Sylvan offers the opportunity to provide personalized instruction to students. I enjoy seeing the students come to understand new topics and the progress they've made.

I work at Sylvan, and I can tell you that it is a wonderful and positive place. I look forward to going to tutor each day. I enjoy all the kids that I tutor, and they enjoy being there, because it is such a positive environment. All of my coworkers are professional, friendly, and just want the best for every child that comes through the doors. I definitely plan to work there for years to come!

My son has been struggling with 4th grade and I struggle with his homework. Being able to take him to Sylvan to have them help us out is such a relief. They are so patient and explain everything to the point of understanding. All of the tutors here have been exceptionally wonderful! Our favorite is Ms. Sharon she is a math expertise! This is for the Baytown location!

We have really seen great progress. Everyone is so friendly and my daughter loves all of her teachers. This was really a great investment in her future.
