Sylvia's Enchilada Kitchen, Houston TX

We hosted our son’s wedding rehearsal dinner here as it is a favorite of theirs. Juan was absolutely a pleasure to plan this event with. The food was amazing! The service impeccable. We utilized the outdoor patio for our event and even though there was a period of rain, we were dry and comfortable. Our margarita glasses were always full and they are delicious. Truly cannot thank them enough for such a special evening!

This review is for the vegetarian food I took out today (I'm usually only taking out food these days for more than a year - not dining out). I ordered a Crystal city was pricey ~15, a kids Cheese enchilada & kids Cheese quesadilla ~ 7 each. The cheese quesadilla was delicious but the other two were not upto the mark. I mean I have had better from other places for much cheaper. I didn't see many people during a Saturday afternoon (only a couple of tables occupied) but I think the evenings are busy at least the tables outside.

Always a go to place for a true mesquite grilled carne asada and a simple frozen margaritas with gran marnier.plain and simple. And Eusebio who's been there forever, kudos, what outstanding service.

Lobster Enchiladas? Are delicisioso! Bae enjoyed the Quail.great ambiance, service is good, you will really like food and drinks!

Great food, authentic flavors of Tex Mex and Mexican styles. Ample parking. Great customer service. Drinks are potent enough for happy hour. Just awesome place tucked away from major roadways. Caution, across fr a church so can get busy.

The taco shell, taco meet, beef enchiladas tasted. Such a shame - the atmosphere was very nice. One friend had chicken and beef fajitas. She too didn't like the seasoning and it could have been more tender. My sister had quail which was very good and tasty but that was the only entree that was good. I live closer to the other Sylvia's and I never thought that one was good either.

Nice place! I thought I didn’t really loved my enchiladas, my wife (she is from Mexico) really enjoyed them, I order the “Tampico” enchiladas, they were good, nothing outstanding, Also I didn’t like that much the green salsa used for the chips.
We were 4 last night, everybody loved their food but me, I’m not saying that it was bad, don’t get me wrong, but I do think that they can do better.

I had the enchiladas Mexico City with tomatillo sauce, chicken, and sour cream. It came with rice and your choice of beans. I had the black beans which were a bit salty. The enchiladas hit the spot and to top it off I had the flan! A bit rich, but overall the meal was delicious. Great for lunch with its fast service. Sylvia even came around to greet us!

This was my first time at Sylvia's. The wait staff was awesome. Everyone was friendly and on top of everything. The food was good but pretty small portions on the enchiladas. If I go back I might try something else to see how authentic it is. But overall it was an alright experience. Also the house margarita was pretty tasty.

I've been there several times, always great all around. Recently my visit was not so pleasant. They got my order wrong and staff was not pleasant either. The really sad part was that I took 2 other friends that I had told how nice staff was and that the food was great.

Worst experience ever! The whole family used to come to Taco Tuesday. The service gets worse every time. Staff is always in a bad mood. Horrible attitude. We asked to speak to the manager because the food was cold. Manager was even MORE rude. Tried to tell us the chicken is cold because of the lettuce. Never coming back. We have recommended business associates in the past. We will no longer do so.

Food was delicious but the pricing is a bit exoensive for the amount you get. Service was great the last time i went but the pricing is the reason i never went back. Theres plenty of great tasting food in houston for way cheaper.

Sylvia’s never disappoints, amazing food (specially the beef fajitas), strong margaritas, and service is always great. I highly recommend this restaurant, you always get what you pay. Sylvia’s is a gem!

The food is delicious. I love their mole sauce, guacamole, and chocolate tres leches to name a few.

We tried the North and South enchilada restaurant week plates. Tres leches was superb. Will be going back for more!

The best food, superior service, friendly atmosphere, makes Sylvia's my most favorite restaurant in all of Houston!

Worst drinks. Everything is watered down. Food was over priced for the portions. And they charged me 20 dollars over what i ordered. Bad location

The food was really good. I had the crab enchiladas and I cleaned the whole plate. I did notice I had a few pieces of she'll in my enchiladas but other than that it was delicious. I definitely recommend trying Sylvia's out.

Food is good, but it is certainly a bit expensive for what it is. There are plenty of Mexican restaurants in Houston that are just as good, or better and cost far less, but if you're in the area, not wanting to go too far the food is certainly good, also good service.
