Taco Cabana reviews
14I'll start by saying that Taco Cabana has been part of my life since I was growing up in San Antonio and I was super excited when I heard we were getting one in Wylie. That excitement faded quickly. The refried beans are always over-cooked and have hard chunks. The guaco never seems to be fresh, its always brown, the taco shells are over fried and oily. This location just isn't good.
The food is not as good as other Taco Cabanas around town. Food seems a tad bland and not very hot usually. Not Taco Bell bland, but still not good for Mexican or Tex-Mex. Reminds me of Cal-Mex in a big way. Tasteless, textures wrong, but with lots of empty prettyness. Don't get me wrong, not all Cabanas are this bad.
Don't bother with any kind of special instructions or asking for something on the side in your online order. You'll be lucky if you're even given everything you ordered. The second and last time I was here I was too disgusted by the conditions of the kitchen (or what you can see from the drive-thru) to even eat my food.
Good brisket tacos love them, Good as higher dollar places. Also had chicken Taco plater which was very good as well.
I ordered a new torta. Bread was so soggy it fell apart. I asked what was on it and the lady simply said pork. But they put refried beans which were cold and honestly some of the worst I've ever had.
Food is usually tasty. Packaging is not uniform on each visit. Causes me to question I'm getting what I pay for each visit. Not enough to stop going yet. Just change which one I go to when it is bad experience
I love this location. The staff is pretty laid back, which I like. I usually get a taco plate and a couple shots of vodka. They have a toppings bar that is usually kept tidy. I've never seen a mess in their restrooms. They have signs for catering, but I've never personally tried it.
Its always something with this location.either takes forever, missing items or completely wrong items.every time we try this place. They should've closed this location. Rosa's Tortilla Factory from now on
I ordered taco cabana for lunch today had a chicken quesadilla and It had a round piece of metal in my quesadilla.
Taco cabana is always good, but this place unnecessarily had the entire inside dining room closed but you could still go inside to order. Pretty strange.
I went through the drive-thru at the Taco Cabana in Murphy this evening. When I got home, the food that I ordered for 4 people wasn't what I had ordered and was cold. Plus I didn't get two items that I had ordered. On top of this, the server was rude and unprofessional. Over all, a very disappointing dinner, for which I paid over $40!
Ordered food from the drive thru and pulled up to see that the person making my food had a mask hanging from her ear, instead of on her face. Canceled my order and asked for a refund. Then, the manager came to the window to reverse the transaction WITHOUT a face mask. Can’t imagine how unsanitary people are outside of work if they don’t even take the proper sanitary precautions at work. Won’t be going back.
Would give less stars if i could.ordered 66$ worth of food and they forgot 2 of our quesadillas.we didn’t realize till we got home all the way in sachse.so we dropped off the rest of the families food and took our back so we could eat warm food once we also got our quesadillas.manager was very rude and didn’t speak to us when fixing our order all he did was hand motion for food.i said “i have the receipt if you need it” and the only words he said during the whole transaction is “i don’t need that” but how will he know what to fix or what we want or don’t want on our food without it?
a usually 20 min food trip took us 2 hours.we even called on our way to fix the problem so food would be ready and it wasn’t
We went to Taco Cabana for a couple of margaritas but was told we had to order food to get alcoholic beverages. No problem, give me some chips and queso. We get home and the chips are soaked in grease.the ones that weren't grease logged are stale from sitting out (or just old). No wonder it's like a ghost town every time we look over here. This is my 3rd bad experience but 1st time posting about it. You don't have to worry about us visiting this location again.
