Tacos La Bala #9, South Houston TX

The tacos are a good size. The chicharrón we're my favorite. If you're having corn tortillas, definitely go for the hand-made. 100% worth it.
I also tried the quesibirria tacos. I feel like the birria flavor wasn't quite right.

Great taste and a young man was working the register very friendly and helpfull, i had visited a while back and the service was bad but theyve turned it arround it is great food

Best quesabirrias, barbacoa tacos, Torta de cochinita pibil, and tripita tacos! I never get tired eating at this place as everything is always so good! Highly recommed!

Horrible experience, I ordered potato and eggs tacos and they were really disgusting, the potatoes where raw and there was no seasoning at all Wouldn’t recommend. If I could I would give this place 0 stars

AMAZING! Their quesabirrias are so good. Service was great. Expected the food to take a while seeing how my family ordered a bunch of food but it came out really fast. Would recommend!

One of my favorite places to eat menudo and chilaquiles everyone is always so friendly and the food is always hot and fresh

The food service was absolutely amazing and its definitely worth the wait with them bomb a$$ tacos whoever cooked that fajita meat need they toes sucked!

A small local business that is franchised, but is almost each one is owned by different people! I went there for lunch, and got a little bit of everything

Let’s begin with the food.

Complimentary nachos-
BRAND NEW, just implemented, this orange tomato sauce that they have? Amazing ape-teaser if ykwim!

Tacos -
Handmade corn tortillas, the BIGGEST taco from the three, the masa made tortilla is good, but I recommend it to people that like THICK tortillas as you can get full with even 2, JUST 2!

Flour, while they’re packet tortillas, when you choose barbacoa meat it just hits the spot with the soft, juicy, amazing taste, it is insane!

Regular corn tortillas, this is the run of the mill, decently sized double stacked tortilla taco. Con unos limones, uno se llena el antojo.

Enchiladas rojas -
The enchiladas here are a bit, different. But oh boy did they hit the spot.
They come with queso fresco and crema on top, I believe it is also stuffed with queso fresco, the red enchilada while it’s looks are “spicy”, it is actually just a regular flavor, the best part of this plate in my opinion is the cecina. It has this almost like raw/healthy taste with the saltiness of it. When mixed with the ensalada it comes with, it makes the perfect combo!

Quesadilla Grande -
I order a 1/2 and 1/2 large quesadilla.
Half barbacoa, Half Trompo (al pastor)
Best bang for your buck, ASK FOR SOME LEMONS IT WILL BE THE BEST THING IN THE WOLRD.
The juicy barbacoa con queso quesadilla? ‍
The trompito has small roasted piña, slightly noticeable, but adds that taste everyone loves!

Horchata-
Best horchata here! Taste amazing
Lemonade-
Puckery! That beginning is different, but it’s so good!
Tamarindo- compliments the food! Love the taste.
Jamaica-
Too sweet! Ask for some water! But has that good Jamaica taste

Lastly la Salsita-

Salsa verde - Has this aguacate taste, barely spicy, so good on tacos and quesadillas, a must try!
Salsa roja- JESÚS CHRIST THIS THING IS SPICY JUST TO BE SPICY! Be ready for a refill on your drink

Do NOT get the over priced entomatadas. They are flavorless! And the Fajita was over cooked I kept chewing and chewing and it was not pleasant. The tacos are OK. For the kind of prices they're charging people, they need a new cook for sure! Save your money, go elsewhere.

Never stop here! I ordered some chorizo and egg tacos and I guess they never taste what they're selling because first bite I almost threw up it tasted like f. Raw crawfish! Not sure who's posting that they have homemade tortillas because my flour tortillas were nasty store bought kind! They need to Lower they're prices if they plan to stay in business 1 small bottle of apple juice was almost $3.50!

Good service, but I see why this place is always empty, because everything is overpriced like a can of soda is 2$ and food really has no flavor, tastes like water, some fajita tastes like salty water, I think they just don’t know how to cook, but the only good they have is the corn tortillas. I think they’ll have more business if they would only sell those tortillas like a tortillería kinda, there’s were they can attract more business, but not the food, cause they’re food really has no flavor, it’s better and cheaper on taco trucks.

Not pleasurable.not even worth taking a picture of the menu as I would not recommend it. The fajita is not fajita they chop it up so you think it's fajita we spent $14 a plate of enchiladas with lettuce and the meat. I seldom leave a bad review because I love food so much but don't waste your money here.

First of all I will start with the good.
1-Good friendly Staff
2-Tortillas hechas a mano
-The Bad-
1- Tripa is as hard as a rock?
2-Milanessa the same can't even chew
3-Food is below average thr only thing that makes it decent is the tortillas but yeah I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Pasadena has way better options. I went here because the good reviews but no the reviewers must not know alot about mexican food.
-Overall I would have this place renamed Tacos la Roca

Very yummy and friendly staff! The food is very authentic! I've tried a variety of Mexican restaurants and this one definitely passed the taste test! Me encanto!

Staff Is friendly and polite.
Food was bland no flavor. Horachata was not authentic. I ordered tacos de pibil, tripa and chicharon and torta cubana.
Torta was good but the milanesa was chewy and could not even bite it so I took it out and left it.
The tripa was super crispy almost burnt. And the pibil tasted similiar to tinga if you will.
Overall maybe other items could be better just not the ones I ordered? ‍️
I think they have to many items on there menu that they cant specializes on everything.

No service.its pretty much like a taco truck in building.u have to order in window.and pay in window and get up everytime u need something.didnt care for the fajita meat on enchiladas.consome for birria had alot of grease.there desebrada tacos are amazing.even there birria tacos.i just suggest trying to remove some of the thick grease when serving
