Restaurant Taipei reviews
18Ordered sweet and sour chicken and got lenon sauce and when i reached out for a solution i got told ohh well i will never be back. Horrible customer service
Wife and I were not fans. Good atmosphere and reasonable prices but the food left a lot to be desired.
Spicy Basil Beef was not remotely spicy. General Tso Chicken (also not spicy) was too sweet for me to finish and my wife said the same about her pan fried noodles.
Food was pretty standard American Chinese nothing too exciting one way or the other. Cool little robot thing that helps server bring food to you. Not somewhere that will stay in my head as needing to go back but also not somewhere if actively avoid.
Very average. Several at our party did not eat all of their food because they didn't like it. The eggplant was grey and gross looking. Hot and sour soup was over cooked. My Moo Shoo Pork was very good. And it was delivered by a robot. Rocky IV vibes abound.
If you’re looking for some great, fresh Chinese, this place hits always. So many dishes to choose from and I love them all. Fam fav would def have to be the Salt and Pepper shrimp and the Sesame Chicken.
Man if you haven’t been, you gotta give this place a shot. You can never go wrong with the triple delight. So fresh and so good
Took 35 minutes longer than they said and the food was cold! I made very specific instructions that I’m highly allergic to the spices and it was covered in them!
I called and the manager and he was a rude as hell!
The only reason for the one star is because the GrubHub driver was nice!
After a long day of working in the hospital, this is just what I needed. I ordered take out, the food was still hot and fresh when I got home! I had leftovers and was able to eat them for lunch the next day!
Whoa. Clearly made in house with some serious knowledge for breading meat. Orange peel beef and lemon chicken. So good! Robot table side service!
The food was amazing. I stopped by and ordered then waited to pick it up. The woman who took my order was very courteous and provided excellent service as well as carrying on a conversation with me while she worked. The sesame chicken was exquisitely flavored and the Kung Pau chicken blossomed with taste. We will be eating here again.
Taipei is always good, fresh and tasty. I've been coming here for years. The cold tea is not watered down like other restaurants and is delicious. You won't go wrong with enjoying a meal here.
You can never go wrong with their orange chicken! The fresh orange peels makes the dish just that much more fresh. 10/10!
The new daily combo meal thing is something that is pretty awesome. Getting two proteins at once and I also have leftover for lunch.
My first time at Taipei. I was looking for a quick lunch after a run to Costco. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was above average and reasonably priced. The service was friendly.
They have a Robot Cat that delivers your food to the table. It was a nice novelty. I noticed they had a pretty brisk take out service as well.
Definitely worth giving them a try.
I’m here to try the double combo plate, it’s really nice with two entrees so I can try something I wouldn’t have. Orange chicken and salt and pepper shrimp is a great combination.
I visited for the first time as "recommendation" video I saw via TikTok. All in all, I will say this place is a solid Good. The food we ordered was satisfactory but not mind blowing. I ordered sesame chicken for example. The plate size and serving portion was good. Not overly big and not small. In other words you won't feel you spent too much money for too little food. Prices here are pretty average for a Chinese style restaurant, between $7-$20. Though I'd say this isn't the most authentic or best tasting Chinese food in San Antonio. It's a place I could recommend if you live in the area. Not worth the drive. The interior is neat and mostly spotless. My biggest complaint if anything is the service. They only had one server for the whole of the restaurant that I saw helping everyone. While Baylee, the server who helped us, was very polite and friendly to everyone there. She deserves a raise in my opinion. It's not right to have made her be handling so many tables on her own. As almost every table in our section had a full family. Also the interior was kinda warm but not unbearable. Beyond that. Its a solid choice for locals.
I’ve been craving Chinese food for weeks and man this hit the spot. I got some egg drop soup with the salt and pepper shrimp. I will be back! Reasonable prices too. You get the soup for free when dine in.
