Take 5 Oil Change, Humble TX

Came in for oil change and inspection, told me 45 min- 1 hr wait. Went 2 miles down the road to Jiffy Lube. Wait was 15 min.

My Favorite Place to Change my oil! Employees are great they, they actually Remember a face and make you feel at home! They are not only kind but fast and Efficient workers! You will never go wrong with this Location!

Have been coming to this location for a while with other cars so when my SUV need an inspection, they were the first place I chose. NEVER AGAIN. I pulled in and waited 15 mins in the stall. Finally Angel came over to inspect my car. He went through all the light and horn checks. Then felt my wipers. He then asked me to turn them on and spray windshield with water. Never had this done on any car we've had inspected here or anywhere else. He proceeded to tell me I needed new wipers because the driver side left 1 thin streak. I said they were less than a year old and the streak was nothing. He told me he would fail my inspection if I didn't buy new ones. I told him it was BS because I know they had been changed. He insisted I buy new ones or fail. Since it was last day of the month and I needed to get to work, I caved. He put them on and they had 1 streak across driver side. He claimed it wasn't. I asked to see my old blade and I saw nothing wrong. I should have left after the initial discussion and threat of failure but time not on my side. Cost me almost $30 for blades. This place is a joke. Wish I had seen the reviews where this has happened multiple times recently. Will not recommend to anyone!

We've used the location for the past 30 years, long before Take 5 took over.

Manager attemptsed to extort money in failing the registration inspection over Michelin windshield wiper blades bought in February 2021. Due to the pandemic and my company's work from home policy, the truck was hardly used.

Upon replacement with better quality than offered, the "old" wiper blades were inspected by the installer at the auto parts store and technicians at Take 5. Both confirmed there was no edge degradation or wear of the wiper blades whatsoever.

Will be contacting DPS after the July 4th holiday.

The fastest oil change and state inspection I’ve ever consistently had with very friendly service.

Always a good experience there, they even gave us bottles of water while we wait and gave my son fruit snacks…. All

The technician was very polite and offered use water while we wait for our vehicle to be inspected. He even offered a treat for our dog. We were serviced quickly and our way in about 15mins. I would recommend them to anyone.

WINDSHIELD WIPER SCAMMERS! WILL FAIL YOUR INSPECTION! I went to this place to get my car inspected. My car passed on all emissions but failed on the safety due to blades. My blades are in good condition and when the test was performed cleared the windshield solution properly with no streaks. The worker (Julian Torres) then proceeded to lift my blades to check for cracks. It was almost as if he was trying to find anything. He then came back to me to say there were cracks in my blades and then wanted me to purchase from the shop for $50.00. I told him no and to just fail me. He then decided to go down on the price. I told him "No" again. Looking back on it, I should have left, because while I was waiting he changed the windshield wiper blades on the 2 cars ahead of me, so I assuming he ran the same game. I will wait the 15 days and go to another place to obtain my sticker. I will also be contacting there customer service department and filing a complaint on this business TDPS for the scheme they are running on customers.

The kid said I needed new wipers or I wouldn’t pass my inspection. My truck is brand new. 9,000 mi. He said wipers were leaving streaks on the windshield. My wipers were fine, they were 6 mos.the manager came over and did nothing to see it in my favor. There was nothing wrong with my existing wipers. So they actually stole $38 for making me buy wipers or fail inspection. Yes I could have went somewhere else. And you can bet next time I will. Never in my life has this happened to me. Psh unreal.

BE PREPARED TO WAIT A LOOOONG TIME if you really want to have your inspection done at this place. The staff used to be quick and efficient here. When I went there recently, there were 3 crew workers and 3 bays but they work on ONE vehicle at a time. They will make you sit in your car and make you wonder when it's your turn. Yeah, they offered bottled water but only to whoever they choose. Finally left and went to Jiffy Lube, was in and out in 15 minutes!
